Contrary to Kion when he was younger, Scar is considered by most one of the most popular princes to ever cross the Pridelands. I like to imagine royals, just like in real life, not only serve as the country’s leading group but also as public figures. This isn’t limited to the monarch, but also to the princes.

Scar ( Takasa, at the time ) had a very easy time socializing. If he wasn’t first by birth, then he’d be first in popularity. I like to imagine the animals liked him from start, and that his image got even more glorified once he “came back from the dead” ( after killing his guard, he ran away, let the hyenas take the bodies and he was presumed dead for about a year or so ). He knew how to make people view him, and he used that in his own favor.

I feel like that’s one of the reasons why everyone just took him in as King. Personally, I believe that it took a while until the herds left… It only started happening when things got awful. Either way, I just like to think Scar was a very popular public figure!
