A painting from my calendar. This one is for August. Time for going back to school.

I must admit I like the japanese school uniform look and although I try to imply the young man is college-age, as he's reading a book on quantum physics, I couldn't resist the uniform.

However, as much as I like it, the uniform was a real pain to paint because it's soooo dark and wasn't easy to see what I was doing.

I went with warm colors with a touch of cool to evoke that sense of coming autumn.
