I really like how this turned out too! I love the well-defined light source and the colors you chose. As for Bulbasaur, I think the colors on him should be a little darker considering that the sun is setting (or rising?). I also think that there should be a shadow underneath him indicating where the light source should be. The bulb on his back should be darker as well and including some core shadows would look nice. This is a pretty nice tutorial, since I'm terrible at explaining things lol:

For the grass, add more textures and lights and darks so that way it looks more realistic.
Either way though, this looks really nice - you're improving so much. Keep it up.
