Look at Oceania!!!

She looks so much prettier than she used to! I'll post her old ref in a while here so you guys can see what she looked like about 10 years ago.

So Neffertity meets with Oceania and she explains that she saw a falcon carrying the black scroll acorss the ocean about two week ago. Neffertity will have to fly over the 5 hours of ocean to reach the land mass the falcon landed on... But she has a max flight time of only 4 hours...

"But why not swim?" You may ask. Well, because she can only hold her breath for 10 minutes at a time, and the sea is filled with sharks and other predators. She can't fight them off, swim for 5 hours, and hold her breath for that long. So flying for 4 straight hours is the fasted way to get there.

There is also another problem. Nero and Shanido can fly for 7 hours max, while Neffertity can only fly for 4. Why is in the anatomy of her wings. She has feathers, not membranes, so air passes through her wings as she flies. This creates some air lag that tires her out faster. Whereas with membraned wings, air builds up under the wings and holds the dragon up.

But she is courageous, and knows that she cannot let the dark magic of the scroll fall into the wrong hands... So she takes to the skies and begins the trecherous 5 hour flight....

I really like how the pages are starting to look. Very natural shading and the anatomy is improving too. I have to say that my favorite panels are the first and last ones. The lighting in the last one looks so realistic and cool. ^_^
