I'm finally getting back to work on more Skylanders again.
And for all you Spyro and Cynder fans out there, here's a real treat! ^_^ Using my super sculpey clay I built the classic Cynder. The one we all knew and fell in love with from A New Beginning and The Eternal Night!
Back when she was actually a BLACK DRAGON. Not a dark purple dragon like DOTD and Skylanders made her into. But this sculpture comes with an amazing bonus....
SHE WORKS WITH THE GAME!!!
Granted of course, she appears in-game as the same old purple, toothless, giant boobed, goblin as regular Cynder figures portray her... But the owner of this sculpture would have the satisfaction of looking at classic Cynder sitting on their portal.
She is 100% hand-made from a 50/50 blend of Super Sculpey Beige, and Super Sculpey Firm (gray). Hand-painted with acrylics, and sprayed with my special blend of sealer. ^_^ She is small enough to fit into a box as well, though I don't think I'll be making one for her, as I'm running low on series 1 single boxes. Got plenty of triples though. XD
Also a sneak peak into the near future, I was talking to my little sister *Daringashia about it, and she loved the concept.
I'm calling it the "Flashback Pack", and it will be a few sets of good ol' characters. Here are the characters I have planned so far:

Hunter the Cheetah (A Hero's Tail)---Triple Pack---
Elora the Faun (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer) Ripto (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer) Bianca the Rabbit (Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon)---Triple Pack---
Sheila the Kangaroo (Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon)
St. Byrd the Penguin (Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon)
Classic Spyro (Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon)---Triple Pack---
Red the Fallen Dragon (A Hero's Tail)---Single, as a Giant---
And possibly a few items like the dragon eggs from Spyro 3, A gem from Spyro 2, and maybe even a new level-style sculpture of the dragon village from A Hero's Tail and a walk-through portal from Spyro 2 and 3.

Custom FC's start at $50, and replica's of other Spyro characters start at $35, working ones cost extra depending on how much the specific characters are selling for.---

I cut off the figure from a regular Cynder one. And then attached my sculpture to the top.
So it loads the same purple trog Cynder in the game, but you get to stare at my figure on the portal.

I don't entirely hate the Skylanders version, but I am not fond of it enough to collect anymore of the figures. I love it when old characters get a facelift, but I feel like Cynder would have been so much cooler if they had stuck with her original coloration.

Great job on the eyes. You're able to make the custom figures look quite different than the originals (the face shape particularly looks different on this one)

I was going for more of a serene, and beautiful face shape. Rather than the goblin-faces most dragon Skylanders seem to have.

If there was a PC version I'm sure I'd be able to render a correct-colored model, but getting it to replace the code for the original one goes well beyond my skill levels. XD

This is awesome. Having played Spyro I agree that this should be in the game, however perhaps it could be her dark form considering she used to be evil.

Well I had the idea for my old OC skylanders project, no longer in action, for something like this where she gains a wow-pow move called 'Queen of darkness' that restores her to this form as an alternate skin and also sets enemies on fire whenever they're struck by her spectral lightning or shadow dash attacks.

how can you attach the sculpey clay so it won't that flopsy when you bake it?

Because I build the sculpture in fractions. First I sculpt the base of the head, then the facial details, etc...

Yes, she is.
And even if you sent a Cynder in a box, it would only shave off like, $10. 1st Gen Cynder isn't going for more than $8 anymore. And it still costs me $15 to get the custom graphics printed out for the box. I have to use a high quality photo paper to get that realistic effect.
