Ikr! They act like "Oh no, hitting is animal abuse!" while they let their dog suffer mentally it's entire life. People have also claimed "You can't raise a dog like a wolf because dogs aren't wolves!" Well, I still see dogs pinning and biting each other to get the point across. I totally agree with you, what comes over these peoples minds, I have no idea! I went to a dog training class, and when the dog misbehaved, they would try to lure/distract it with treats! Excuse me? Maybe that works on some dogs, but in my opinion, that teaches it literally nothing! if you want to train a dog a trick, reward for the behavior you want, but if a dog is ripping up your curtains, you don't give it treats. Now I'm not saying because it is bad you should start beating it. But if you beat a dog into doing a trick, that's abuse, if you scold a dog for an unwanted behavior, it ain't. Sometimes I think people also get confused that prong/shock/choke collars are for training the animal, not just to randomly punish it.
Cesar talks a lot about how dogs aren't people, and I can relate, because I treat my dog a bit like a person sometimes heh, I just love him too much not too! But I'm not going to take away all discipline, either

I agree with you so much about everything what you said! I never haven't understand this dog training with treats. Of course I understand and support it like it that when dog does a good thing, you give it a treat but if it ignores you or misbehaves and gets a treat... what good does it does? But then again you see a lot of people who don't know how to raise a CHILD so how people then know how to raise a dog? Plus whenever I go outside, I see SO MANY PEOPLE walking their dogs all WRONG. They pull and run and do whatever they please and the owner just lazily walk behind the dog. Though I admit all people have their own ways of training dog and as long as dog's balanced and behaves, I'm fine with that as long as it doesn't involve violence against the dog (or any other animal). Like my father example, he loves animals and he don't like animals being threaten bad at all but his method is that if dog or horse (since he have both) behaves bad in young age, you remind them once in firm way and they believe. For example his stallion bit him on the shoulder when we got that stallion (he is now 18). Dad punched him once firmly on the nose right after the bite since consequence needs to come RIGHT away, not minutes later (not causing bruise, bleeding or anything, NO!) and the horse learned that "okay, I can't bite this guy" and it has work. And about dog, he loved to jump against people as a puppy but dad had give him firm touch when he had try to jump against dad and he learned that "okay, jumping isn't allowed". I personally don't like it if dogs jump against human. It's not because it's dirty or anything but it's just... annoying. But yes, show love and affection to your pets but also discipline them. They have to and need to know what's right or wrong, otherwise it will be disaster. Like dad's earlier German shepherd (male what sadly died under a car 4 years ago in a age of 1 year old). Dad managed to be with him but dad's fiance didn't got any hold on him and he knew it. He jumped against her, nipped her hands and legs and clothes what she was wearing etc. He terrorized her since he knew she was weak and powerless against him.

You are absolutely right! Your father did the right thing in punching that horse in the nose! I totally agree in how most people cannot raise children correctly, and their dogs are the same. the world seems to be taking a sharp slope towards everyone being nice, equal, can't discipline anybody, I'm not sure what they're trying to achieve by doing this, but it's crazy. I saw a video once where this girl is showing a montage of her ducks growing up, and in one of the videos, she grabs them and throws them out onto the lake. The people in the comments went all crazy "ITS ABUSE TO THROW YOUR DUCK LIKE THAT!!!' The same applies to dog videos, just, whutttt? Most of the things people do does not hurt the dog, and throwing a duck into a pond, certainly does not hurt it. Just like Cesar says, most people love their dogs, and they expect their dogs to do what they say because they love them, when in reality a dog does not follow a loving leader, your love does not make them suddenly want to be perfect for you, you have got to be a leader who is strong, kind, and willing to give discipline! XD PFFF no it wasn't thrown by it's neck, they were tossed properly. I haven't thought much on the child traumas, but I can definitely see how that might change their behavior!Β

Exactly. I don't understand why some peoples even dares to say that Cesar beats those dogs what he's helping. That's not true. If he truly would be hitting them, those dogs would scare him. Plus, why a man who loves dogs and wants to help them would beat them? That doesn't make any sense.

And peoples automatically seems to think that only way to make your dog do what you want / say it to do, is to beat it so badly that it starts to scare you... That's not right or the case at all! Do you beat those peoples who you like to love you and do what you say? Of course not. Same goes with the dogs.

I LOVE CESAR!!! He is teh most awesome, and I discovered by watching his show that I (who am "good" with animals) had already been doing alot of what he did. He did it much better obviously, but yeah. And Daddy...I LOVED DADDY!!!
Cesar is NOT an abuser. I've had people tell me his methods are too "harsh" and it's BULLSHIT. I've trained dogs and horses and what he does is pure instinct and in tune-ness with the animal. I could go on and on...but do you mind if I yoink this? I'll credit you of course...
