The light in this shot is wonderful, soft and warm, you are right, get up early

What a like less about this shot is that the sandhill on the left draws a lot of attention and the grass makes it look a bit cluttered/busy. And also the shadow isn't that great, I do realise you could not do anything about that in this situation.

But it's still a very nice shot.

Hey, thanks for the comment.

There wasn't much I could do about the dirt clump..

These particular horses didn't know me, so it was a balancing act of getting close enough to have the focal length being around prime and not spooking my subject.

Oh well.

I appreciate your time.

Thanks.

Thank you! It was the sun's first light.

BTW, I have seen Depeche Mode five times.

They are getting to be classic, no?

Five times ! lucky you ! I only saw them once in concert ("Playing the angel" tour) and I thought they were awesome. In my opinion, there are not so many groups that are as pleasant to listen to when they sing "live". Dave Gahan seemed in great shape to me and his voice still sounds really good after all these years. He still has the moves too ! he he !

What do you mean by "classic" exactly ? Do you mean to say they are getting old ? or is it about their music ?

I don't know about them getting old.

The music of the 80's and 90's becomes like the music of the 60's and 70's.

I guess I'm getting old.

Also, perhaps there is an element of "classic" which applies to music which was the sound track to a part of ones life.

They were one of the primary influences upon my own music, I suppose (see below).
