Description The OTTB Retrain Centre was full of staff and people that were willing to retrain these beautiful horses. Each thoroughbred stood in their stalls and watched trainer by trainer walk past. Their eyes filled with curiousity and fear. The sound of neighs rang through the warm hay smelling air. It was warm and stuffy in the centre due to the fact there was over 50 horses and more than 120 people in the hall. Felicity walked around with Brad, peering at each of the horses' history in their competition records.
One of the horses' caught Felicitys' eye. The thin chestnut stallion stood shaking in the corner of his stall.
"Excuse me, Hun." Filly said to a young member of staff. "What do you know about that chestnut stally over there...eh..HIP 51?"
The young girl nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes! Da Illusionist. An older stallion, he started racing at three due to a shoulder injury that had him sitting out a two year old season. With that year off he has gotten off to having some excellent ground manners, the issue was after the injury he was simply uninterested in racing and in three starts, he just proved that he wasn't interested in his career any longer. When we got him, he was in a serious condition. We don't think he was very well looked after at his racing stable. The owner was shocked to see marks and scars hidden by chestnut paint. Perhaps the jockeys or trainers? Coming to VOS he was an extreme gentlemen and due to the rain we did not work him out on the track but we did have a rider get on him and trot him on the indoor exercise track and he was an absolute sweetheart. There were no records of his shoulder bothering him in the past two years, and we are sure he can go into any discipline."

"He seems quite the character! We're just starting out a stable actually and we're looking for a future champion!" Filly said excitdetly, constantly looking the stallion up and down.

"He's just a shy guy, sweet but needs some TLC, he would be great at either showjumping, dressage or possibly endurance"

Felicity walked over to the stallions stall and unlocked the gate. The stallion was wary and nervous around her, she hunted around in her pocket for some mints. The stallion slowly walked over to her and sniffed at her hand.

The young staff member wandered over to Filly and climbed onto the stall fence.
"I can tell he likes you, would you be interested in rehoming him?"
"Definitely, he'd be a great addition to our farm!"
"I'm guessing you've brought a headcollar, rug and boots?" The girl questioned
"Yes, hold on a minute. I'll be right back."

Moments passed and Filly arrived back with a large rucksack.

"Would you like me to tack him up m'aam?" The staff member asked.
"That would be great! Here's his headcollar and front leg boots"
She handed the rucksack over and the girl pulled out the selected tack.
"I'm really gonna miss this guy..." she said as she slipped the headcollar around the chestnuts soft face.
"Well, you can visit him anytime. You know...we have some spots for jobs..if your interseted?"
"Really? I'm actuallly looking for a job as I just volunteered for this"
"Well come back one day and I can give you a tour"

Felicity led the stallion out of the large centre, the staff member followed.
" He should be okay getting into the trailer, but then again...I have been wrong before" She said patted the stallions back.
They walked up to the side of the trailer and tied him up. The staff member unlocked the ramp. The sound it made when it smacked onto the grass made the chestnut rear slightly.
"Easy boy!"
Felicity slowly untied him from the side of the trailer and led him over to the bottom of the ramp. She tried to tug on the lead rope but the stallion wouldn't go near it. All he did was kick his hooves and shy away.

"Hey, I'll put my bandana over his eyes so he can't see anything" said the young staff member.

She untied the red bandana from her wrist and carefully slid it over the stallions head. Felicity waited unti lit was secure then tried to lead him up to the trailer again. Fortunetly, he reluctantly walked into the back of the stall in the trailer. The hay nets were filled to the brim and water was cold and fresh. He drank slowly from the automatic waterer. The noise of his lead rope being taken off startled him slightly.
"Thanks again for all of your help. Here is my card. Call or visit anytime" Felicity said as she held out her hand with a white card in it.
"Your welcome, I will definitely pop in sometime!" The girl said as she started to walk backwards.

The trailer drove away down the unwinding road.
