Has Meredith ever cared about the city? Even before she got her hands on the idol she only stopped the crazy tyrannical viscount when he tried to banish the Templars.

That's a good point. All in all, I think she doesn't really care about the city: what matters for her is keeping the status quo unaltered, i.e. keeping the templars in a dominant position. As you mentioned, she had the earlier viscount removed when he tried to get the templars out of Kirkwall, then she put a relatively meek viscount (Dumar) on the throne, one who wouldn't argue with her. And when she helps fighting the Qunari, she has her personal gain since the templars (meaning her) essentially get to rule the city. And I agree with you about this work, it looks great!

Your right about that, Dumar was pretty meekly. And she did postpone the nobility from choosing a new ruler since there was no one meekly like him with enough support to claim it(huh, now that I think about it, most of of what Meredith did was probably out of her own wish rather then the influence of the idol, it only made her intention and actions more clear then ever)

You're welcome! And I think you're doing an excellent work also with the characters' expressions: I guess that in this one the overall composition simply made me think of Meredith feeling uninterested about what happens to the city before seeing the determined look!
