Posted this on Sonic Amino three days ago ( Post Here ) and finally got a chance to get a high rez picture of it!
(It even got featured there, I'm so glad this took me over 2 1/2 hours because layering the black to get a smooth look takes FOREVER)

I haven't thought of anything to add since my post there so I'll just copy paste

Infinite could have been THE COOLEST villain we've gotten in years, but Forces' writing was Trash and the ending was N O
He just DISAPPEARED
NEVER mentioned, he just FLEW OFF
Definitely a wasted character but I had to draw him if only to lement the writing
A character that can BEND REALITY
He could have summoned deep fears and old sights, made Rookie face his inner demons or make Sonic face failure, but he keeps gunning and running.
He could have done so much but they played it TOO SAFE.
And ruined their own game in the process
A final battle against Infinite in his nightmarish dimension, like SIGN ME UP, that sounds cool.
Though Infinite's backstory is really weak (pun slightly intended) and they could have built it up a LOT better
And Infinite's theme really makes it sound like he's this independent character trying to be the strongest he can, challenging anyone
It talks about how he suffers and how strong he is but the game does not show that at all
shadowfreak98 also adds on about this:
"Yeah like what the heck. If they reeeeally wanted to do the whole "weakness" thing with Infinite and Shadow then they should have Shadow play a stronger role. Perhaps Infinite could've wanted to fight shadow to test how strong he was so he manipulated shadow to the point of fighting him, then when it was proven that Infinite was weaker then that would give him the motivation to be stronger, and then when he grows stronger he looks for the next strongest opponent which you'd assume to be sonic. So he fights sonic and even STILL he's weak so that's when he continues to grow more power hungry. Cliche but it seems this would've been a lot more interesting than the shallow reason the game has.
Again, gunning and running would've worked too. He could ve dropped them in their own deep dark nightmares to watch them struggle and suffer through, all the while they were facing their fears and making themselves stronger to face up to him no matter what mind games he tried to play. They could've gone a super dark route with all of it and then those dark routes would lead to the ultimate core of darkness that was Infinite
The heck GET US IN THAT BOARD ROOM SO WE CAN MAKE SUGGESTIONS!"
JUST GIVE US THE SCRIPT UGH

Anyways I drew the new Edge dog, and I hope he's properly developed in the comics or something?? I don't want another Mephiles, never to return
