My second entry for 's contest.Titel: Dreams of capture
Theme: Dreams of capture
This time it is about a doll who has an overprotective owner. Almost as bad as holding her captive so nothing bad will hapen to her.
She is staring at the reflection of the sunset in the water hoping to one day be able to see the real one instead of a reflection.

I love that spiderweb! It adds a pretty dark vibe to the drawing!
The colours are sort of clashing if you ask me but I mean that in a good way - It makes it more unusual and adds to the dark theme. : )
The lighting on her skin and hair also turned out nice! Good luck with the contest. : )

The concept of this piece is very interesting! This dream ur conveying reminds me of Sleep Paralysis: a phenomenon when you wake up but your brain hasnt yet waken up the rest of your body so you are unable to move for a little bit. You feel constricted and trapped in ur own body--supposedly quite terrifying if you dont know whats going on. I dont think i've experienced this (i might have) but i've read about it. Some people describe this phenomenon as if it were a dream (its really not, but it seems so surreal that people think of it as one when they dont know whats up).
...haha forgive my geekiness there X'D
Anyway, this dream of capture of yours reminds me of that. It looks like the doll is constricted and not allowed to go anywhere and is forced to just stay there. A very unique concept indeed! (btw, you are very good at drawing dolls. I was always impressed by this X33)

I've had that once. I was lying in my bed on my stomach and I heard a noise behind me. I wanted to know what it was but I couldn't move anything. And then I heard a noise like someone was opening a bag of patatoships and my bed suddenly sunk like someone sat on it. And then I heard a really loud: MWYAMYAMYAMYAM!~ and after that I woke up fully.....it really scared me :"D I never sleep on my stomach anymore haha
That was the whole idea yes :"D
(I use rozen maiden dolls as references~ Mostly I just draw a normal body first and then add the balljoints and stuff c

It happened once more. But that wasn't really scary. I was just walking around in my room and still could feel my bed. I looked at my bed and like saw my "body" sleeping there....that was really weird :"D
Thank you c: school just started again for me and I just heard that we litteraly start with our exams :"D (yay for me)
So I guess you'll only see things from me here that have deadlines :"D since I feel like I'm gonna be busy.

...yeah i can imagine that would be weird. I've also had dreams that were like on the boarder of dream and wake and sometimes those freak me out cuz it feels so surreal so i just wake up immediately cuz i'm too freaked out X'D

Aaw~ thank you c: my new school project is so much fun~ we need to design a calendar in a fun and new way. So I decided to make a square and on each side of the square you will have a puzzle. Each day you will ad a piece to it and at the end of the month you will have a pretty picture~ And those pictures are gonna be drawn by me~ I've wanted to practice my background drawing skills. So as a theme for the pictures I decided on backgrounds in a interesting perspective. So looking at a huge library, for example, from the ground. That kind of stuff o3o.
I'm really exited to draw them and make the calendar~
