I don't really watch "MLP", but THIS image takes me back to when I was in 1st grade. There was this girl who I've liked so much as if she'd be the one for me, I promised her that I'd ALWAYS be there for her and she promised ME the same THING. But at the end of the YEAR there was this ONE boy who STOLE her from me and TRIED to since "Valentin's Day", when I saw them both together holding hands and the boy gave her a "Class Ring" that broke my heart AND her promise... But THIS I give a 100% all the WAY.:thoumbsup:

Wow, talk about emotion. There's a real feeling of shared anguish here. However, I wonder if you might have gone a little overboard with the depth of their sadness. Judging by the title and description, it sounds like you meant for there to be a sense of reassurance present. Applejack's slightly upturned mouth is the only real hint of that in the picture itself. There's little implication of comfort aside from the characters' embrace. It looks more like they are sharing their pain than actually comforting each other. Looking at it, I would imagine that Rainbow Dash has suffered some trauma and Applejack is consoling her, as well as sharing in her sorrow sympathetically. If thats the case, I might have omitted Applejack's tears to make her appear more composed and in a better state of mind to reassure her friend. I think you had a clear vision for this piece, but I wonder if you could have executed it a little more overtly. Regardless, the level of emotion shown here is undeniable, making for a moody, evocative piece.
Applejack and Rainbow Dash are often paired, so it's hard to put an original spin on their relationship. What I do like about this piece is that it shows a deeper, more tender bond than one might expect from two ponies who are often rivals.
Everything technical about this piece looks great to me, with the exception of their manes lacking some of your usual detail. The lighting looks excellent (to my untrained eye) and the rain looks real, as do their tears.
Again, the emotional impact of this piece is undeniable. If it weren't for the title and description, I would have no misgivings about the feeling you meant to convey. Regardless, you have succeeded in crafting a visually appealing, emotionally moving piece. Nicely done.

Thanx for the detailed critique my friend!
I know the pic with the title might be confusing so here is my original interpretation. Rainbow Dash went through a series of shocks and traumas and went missing. Applejack was the one who despite the terrible weather went on searching for Dash. AJ found her in an absolutely devastated mood. But it seems that Dash jsut needed a friend, or even a special somepony who pull her out of the deepest depths of her situation. Applejack's tears represent the relief and joy she felt when finally could pull Dashie into a warm hug. Dashie's tears and despearation is I rhink obvious. Moreover, The lighting represents te idea that even though it is raining the sun is starting to break through the dark clouds. I gues that's all, but as always my pics are open for interpretation.
Both of them have a tender side: Applejack becasue she looks after Applebloom; Dashie because I assume she just want to hide her soft side with the non-stopping coolness. In 'The Last Roundup' and 'Sleepless in Ponyville' she showed us her soft side. Btw I gues this pairing is starting to be my fav again after I read 'Treating Her Right' fanfic. It's just beautiful, really. It meade cry I admit (and it wasn't sad or anything, but beautful).

The photo show a great amount of emotion, with happiness from Applejack and Rainbow Dash, as well as sadness at the same time. Just from the photo, you can tell that they are great friends, and care for each other a lot. The lighting goes very well, where it does not make it look like a sunny day, but instead shows just the right amount of light. The coloring of both Rainbow Dash and Applejack fit them very well. The rain is a great expression of an event that occurred, or just a bad day. This is a very well done art.

Man, beautif piece of art, though. It's incredible how much emotion you put in this picture. The colours, lightning and shading looks incredible and for the rain and the tears... I don't see so well drawn tears (or water in general) very often so either I don't know the right artists or you are just incredibly good at what you're doing. Guess it's both..^^
