Description
In my journal, I talked about a new character that was going to make his face known and common around my account and talked about his creation. Well, this is MizuKaito (a.k.a. Mizu, The Water Nymph).
A couple of weeks ago, suggested that I create a new play toy for her original character, Tzuku. It took me a while to come up with an idea but eventually Mizu was born and so was his story.Mizu is 22 years old, is a pure-blooded water nymph, and has 42 family members in all. He has 37 sister, 2 brothers, and a mom and dad. He's the middle of the 3 sons that exist in their family and the three thing his entire family shares is their appearance, their dumb-founded behavior, and their odd obsession with fish.
Anyway, Mizu is going to be causing mass mayhem around this gallery for what looks to be a long time so I hope you brought you water-wings and fishing poles because you're going to need them as long as he's here. XD

Course not. Out his family (42 members), only 4 are male (his father, older brother, him, and his younger brother.) Besides, I noticed a lot of people only draw female nymphs and I figured it would be interesting to draw him. I'm guessing that species is mostly female so I kinda roled with that bases.

My male water nymphs(naiads) are different in terms of appearance. They look completely human except they have small pointed faerie-like ears(because they're fey creatures), skin and hair colors in aquatic shades, and river plants growing out of their hair.

not only your drawings have improved, but your coloring as well! the mixtures of the blues and purples you did is truly awesome! it looks as if he's in under water. i bet, since this is a WIP after all. XD can't wait for the finished piece

I see. XD i can tell by the coloring effects you did on his skin, or should i say scales? XD;; anyways, i'm sorry that College is killing your time to draw more often. D8; same with school, i don't usually color with color pencils, cause my school is killing time for me as well.

Don't you just love how school intereferes with drawing time? -__-# Technically he has both scale and skin though. It's just, whenever he's in water, he has scale. =3 Otherwise, it's normal skin. X3

No, he's technically a water nymph. and I have been putting together a kind of story that's been going on with Mizu and her characters. ((Mizu being the water nymph I drew. XD)) It's complicated. He has the ability to grow scales while in the water, but can lose them whenever he leaves the water. Same goes for his tail and ears but he can control whether he wants them to dissappear or not...which he usually lets his tail and ears remain regardless of whether he's in water or not. XD One thing that's fun about him is his utter obsession with fish. Fish is like a prized possession to normal people and it's not just him, but his whole family who obsesses over it. ((All 42, that is. XD)) Fun guy, huh? ^ - ^

Lol, yeah. He's a very funny guy and as for now, he inhabits my brain. XP He's also very stupid. He thought that *Kitsunia 's character, Sil was dancing underwater when he was really drowning.

lol, XD. Took me long enough to do and I'm only half-way done.
Thanks. I actually got the water effects by using a regular wooden pencil's eraser and erased it in places to lighten the color and come up with that effect. It took several tries on his tail though before I could get it to look right.

I know but the main thing I've been trying to work on as of recently is backgrounds so I'm planning on putting one in to complement the water effect on his body. The pencil sketch is just where i messed up and realized that his hair wasn't going to look right if it wasn't added.
