Haute couture dresses collection inspired by the Solar system's planets, influenced also by Naoko Takeuchi's legendary sailors senshi: Sailor Moon.I represented every planet with its colours and textures, with some original features of the sailors (like the roses on Jupiter's gown, the crow feathers on Mars and the 'marine feel' on Neptune). The girl representing the Earth is invented by me.
So.. What's your favourite planet/dress?

Okay, to be honest I don't see anything wrong in the way you've done the picture. Well, okay... that's kinda a lie... you could've made the shadows on Jupiter and Pluto a little less shadowy; make a few lighter colors to match the theme of the planet! Other than that, nothing's wrong whatsoever. This is just my opinion, but you can also have a sun and an asteroid belt dress in there too. And you can also put a giant galaxy dress behind the other nine dresses to represent the meaning of the work as a whole. These are absolutely stunning. Conceptually, the project shows great imagination and depth of forethought. I have only a passing familiarity with the Sailor Scouts, so I can't really comment on how well that aspect is reflected in the designs, but the astronomical details are instantly recognizable and well integrated. I particularly like how Saturn's rings are reflected in not only the headpiece but also the chains over the hips.
Most of these appear to be quite wearable. I'm not exactly shaped appropriately for this kind of look, but assuming a person is accustomed to hoops and/or farthingales, I could easily consider many of these actually comfortable. That said, I find a few of these questionable in that regard.
The Uranus pantsuit seems rather unwieldyβI could see the others actually being worn for a society event or fancy dress ball, but the combination of the free-flowing train and the apparently stiff hip panels on the Uranus outfit seems to me to be something that would be impractical off the runway. But it certainly is visually striking.
I also have concerns about how narrow the skirt of the Luna dress becomes in the middle. It's a good visual representation for the relative size of the moon compared to the planets, but where the narrow part falls on the legs determines whether this might work as a wearable piece, or the wearer can't leave the runway because she can't bend her knees independently.
But overall, I think this is a great start to what could become an extended collection of astronomical designs. I would very much like to see a Sol outfit added, as well as the other dwarf planets (Ceres, Eris, et al.) and the Galilean moons of Jupiter. The possibilities are truly unlimited; this could be the most literal possible application of "the sky's the limit".

I actually love the designs you used for each one- especially Jupiters. You added in the detail of the planets "texture" within the dress which gives it it's own personality almost. I could really see these being walked down a runway- especially Uranus's design. A bit more could have been done with the dress for Mars I feel- it seems to have been rushed... but the originality over all is truly unique! All in all, this is a great piece and fantastic designs! I'd love to see the sailor scouts actually wear these; they seem to fit their personality on point in my opinion.

It shows so much unique vibes that show a majestic style.
And using the solar planets as inspiration show the creativity of the creators inner mind, turning a planet to a excellent works of art.
And using the solar star galaxy designs at the ends, center and lining was such a brilliant idea.
The Modern with the foreseen classic style blew my mind when I saw each individual, my thoughts and mind were craving for more.
These dresses give off a special trick like there is no other ones out there.
I would definitely recommend other people to see much more to come.

it is an amazing job. certainly a favorite of mine! i love howuniqe the dresses are and everything about the picture. you did such an amazing job -watchs you- i definantlywill look up o you so maybe i can be that good at drawing. I find that these dresses are all quite unique in their design, colorfully and beautifully representing our beloved planets and the Senshi that tie in with them. I love Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune's dresses all equally. You can tell that a lot of thought and care went in each and every one of these marvelous designs. As a fan of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, I absolutely adore this piece of work. As a hobbyist of all things celestial and interplanetary, I find this to be quite amazing. First let me say when I initially saw these I was speechless. They are stunning and show an amazing amount detail that could walk off the page onto a runway. It is very hard to chose s favorite. Being a woman though the pant suit with pannier hips would probably not work but I do get your fashion genre concept so I won't hold big hips against you.
In all truth I could see these outfits in a movie or animated film. There is definitely this ethereal feel to them and a clear line that could be villain/heroine. the biggest impact with each piece however is the fine details. The bead work and layers, bodices and just those bits and pieces that take it from elegantly simple to glamorous. The silhouettes span classic, romantic and fashion forwards all in one.

I'm not a professional and probably not qualified to give a critique, but I must say I love what you did with these dresses! Every one is unique and special, just like each planet.
You seemed to capture the very essence of our solar system and brought that into fashion. The colors, the patterns, the feeling and personality of every dress! They're amazing!
I adore your ideas, but I feel you could have put more detail in the feathers on the Mars dress. Not to worry though, these ideas are phenomenal! Please keep doing what you are doing and inspire others with your fashion sense! ^_^

Well, I know that some haute couture dresses can appear bizarre to commonfolk, so Moon's tied skirt and Uranus' pant accessory are probably just another of those quirks.
Aside from that, marvelous works. My personal favorite is Saturn; maybe because I have a thing for subtle or simple thing, but that aside, that hat is a very clever design; would love to see something like that in real life.

They're all nice designs but not to be rude, but I think Uranus hip piece is a bit too much. I get it's suppose to be fashion to match the planet. It's just the hip thing was a bit too...ridiculous I think even for fashion standards...Β She would have looked fine with just waist belts and a vail or better yet, make the vail into a cape and have her look almost princely.
I don't mean to be mean though but you asked for critique and that also means brute honesty. The rest look wonderful. Jupiter is a bit too much as someone said too but, I think more so is Uranus. Keep up the good work though. You did great as I said.
