Description I am taking a film class entirely about Director Ingmar Bergman, and he does a lot of close-ups with half of the actor's face in shadows. Normally it's when the character is going through some sad, angry or just insane moment, there's always some emotion being portrayed. I really like that he does this, so I decided to make my own little homage to Bergman.

Nicely done! What sort of light did you use?

Well, I don't have enough money right now for pro-lighting (although I wish I did) so this is actually a lamp I got at home depot. A HUSKY brand really bright light, I cover it with a white cloth to soften the light.

I wasn't hoping or expecting to hear about professional lighting. I was hoping you might have used a household light.

I used to, but the pictures came out too dim.... I'm really happy with my lamp though! It does the job and that's what matters, right?
