This picture was the result of me and my teacher having an argument. She never wanted me to draw cartoons. I guess she didn't really consider them art or something or she wanted realism. Something like that. Anyways, I tried to draw Nuriko using lights and darks. I'm still relatively pleased with the way that this came out. It's different, than what I usually do. The shading is 100% mine so there's plenty of mistakes in it.Related content

I 100% agree with you. I've been getting so many comments on my old Fushigi Yugi artwork here lately it makes me want to rewatch the series. ^_^ Tasuki was my favorite but I think that was only because he didn't die.

Me too, he's my favorite 2nd character. Would have been my first if he hadn't gone and died on me. I love it when he comes back as a ghost though and makes.. Tasuki, I think it is, laugh at the shrine and Nuriko's brother (?) gets mad. It was funny. Tasuki is a riot.

Is is just me, or did he start loosen common sence when he cut his hair? I swerve, I REALLY dont think he would have died if he would have just sat dowsn for a sec DX!
Oh wells, I didnt get to the part where he was a ghost though, I havent seen passed the ep after his death and a few random ones....

Ahhhh! OMG That's soooooooo cute!!! X3 the huge anime eyes kill me everytime!! Oh tip for the shading, try blending it more, your art teacher will like that more ~.^ What I mean by blend is don't just go from light to dark, put all the shades in between. And when your art teacher tells you that you can't draw anime, tell her it's your own personal style and at least your not trying to copy someone else's character! *sticks out tongue*

I love big eyes in anime also. *swoons* They never fail to make me smile. Also thanks for the tip. I won't be able to tell my art teacher that though. I'm not in school anymore. She wasn't that bad of a teacher though. I liked her Calligraphy class much better however.
