A gift for my boyfriend for our 6 month anniversary. I sketched this in painter to vector later, but then I liked the shading and coloring, so I just made it look all nice in painter instead, which was a challenge for me. I haven't tried actually shading something in a while, so it was difficult. I tried to do a background but nothing was working and painter kept crashing and I'm tired of all that. So... here is the non-backgrounded-framed-fake classy version.I still like the robot though, and all my tries from the background just took away from them and made it messy. I've had this little green robot and wanted a girl robot for the picture, which was fun to draw. I hope to draw her more in the future. These robots need names.

They do look adoreable, I would have made the lineart a little darker myself becuase the colour of the robots themselves is very pastel and light. But if you're boyfriend was happy with the gift that's all that matters

I actually don't have any of my fancy paper with me, its all in a big mess at home. I'd like to get back to those soon though, they were fun. I haven't been doing a whole lot of my own work in general cause I'm just working on a lot of stuff for my classes. As for the my little pony website, I hope they put up what all the artists did (one of my favorite artists is doing it).

after I did the sketch originally I think their mouths were my favorite thing about it. I like that they're hearts but they also look like they're smiling.

YAY I like your work in Painter!! It looks more classic, softer, (obviously) more painterly, I think it's prettier. Especially since your robots remind me of something from the 1950s lol, this has such a sweet classic feel. Oh, &, as usualy, gorgeous colour choices ^_^
