Christmas 2006.Artist: Kai.
Since the epic release of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (For the Wii), it is all Yoh and I have been playing. So, i drew him this Christmas card. Turns out he drew me one of Link as well.

Great coloring! What colored pencils did you use. Also, about the pose, isn't his sword supposed to be going over his leg instead of under it?

I knew it was Prisma Color! It was either that or Faber-Castell. They are the only ones that are that good. I see what you mean by the pose now.

I love Prisma pencils but they seem to be a dying breed.
Not only are they expensive...
But digital seems to be taking over.

I see what you mean. I was trying to buy some one day but found out how much money was needed and dropped it. I don't really care for digital right now. There are some things in pencil that can trump even the best digital art.

But people who value traditional art seem fewer and fewer.

I know. I know. It saddens me. Two of my best friends who are amazing in pencil are transitioning over digital. I really think they should have pursued traditional.

I can see the advantages of digital, for sure.
And with me, I've been forced to digital more because it's the issue of not having access to a scanner to be able to display my art here if it's traditional.
But it is a sad thing; no art form should be devalued.

I really like how dynamic his pose is and how the colouring is so full of different shades. I also like the determined head-down expression. I would crop the picture so that the lines on the left and the bottom aren't there - but the drawing itself is really good!
