Beautiful! I love the movement!
Saw this on the Undiscovered page of and what caught my eye was your choice to put the bright subject against the dark background and of course it was a barn owl. Your choice of using the unblended brush strokes for the feathers give them the illusion of movement and adds to the idea that the feathers are being ruffled by the air currents. You did well with the lighting over all giving the impression of strong moonlight hitting the white feathers. The contrast between the softer blended background and more sharp and opaque use of color in the subject separate the two.

The detail in this is so amazing. Each feather is different in some small, though ultimately significant, way. The lighting of the picture creates what I think is I very cool and unique mood. You are a very talented artist!
