Our Gaara and Kankuro cosplays for Oni-con 2011.
For some reason I feel I look very short in all of these!
Natural hair style, just dyed. Updating it to a wig for next con.

Shoooot, I don't even know! It just somehow managed to work out after typing my belts around the middle a lot and making it a side shoulder pack. It was really hard and made me wish I fiberglassed it and put in some drywall screws or something. I always have to balance it on one hand/my hip when I walk or pose with it. (for poses I position it and balance it on my hip a bit)

Yeah, mine's pretty heavy and gaara's genin strap isn't tight like his vest in older versions so it's very hard to attach! I ended up having to hot glue a strip of vinyl over a D-ring (in 4 different places) and attaching hooks to my strap so I could take it on and off. My gourd is like, 25 lbs :/

like 7 layers of paper mache, paper pulp that i sanded and covered in wood filler, gesso and paint. I really wanted it to be sturdy XD

Thank you! And it was annoying to draw on since I had to draw it from just a reference since my stencil didn't work out well. I would just buy the temp. tattoos but many of them are too small...
Poor Kankuro, he deserves more love! Next shoot we have a Temari so perhaps we'll do some photos shoving him into the background. XD
