Oh. My. God. This is amazing! I just read it all today, after it was posted on reddit, and it is so good!!! I especially love how you are still keeping parts from the Original without re-showing them, like the Land of Waves.
Although 2 things: 1) Was Kankuro just out of frame in your Au or is he non-existent/ very different?
and 2) I literally just joined Deviantart to keep up with your stuff, but uh... how do I do that? I really want to keep up with this story!
Also, just a guess, but I'm thinking you have read the "Hiashi's Master Keikaku"?
