The bowed bottom jaw is what gets me. And the fact that none of the breeds of dogs look like the breed their meant to be except for the shiba inus. xD

Yeah, when I first saw an english version of the 3rd GDW manga in a comic store, my initial reaction to the style was "Jeez! Who would buy a manga all about dogs?! And all the dogs have the exact same facial expression! WTF?!"

Who knew I'd be a die-hard Ginga fan years later, and would be beating myself up for not buying those when I saw them

Yeah, I had a hard time getting used to the breed appearances, but Hyena's rag ears never did sit well with me

Though I've actually only watched GDW and not even the whole thing. I stopped at like.. episode 15 or something around there. Weed's pansiness towards everyone except for Jerome kind of killed it. XD So he's a softy to everyone except his BFF, makes perfect sense!

You've only watched a bit of the GDW anime?! Dude! You haven't lived!

First of all, character-wise, Gin's a million times more bearable than Weed. And he kicks a whole lot more butt.
Despite being older than I am, the GNG anime is definitely worth watching!

I'd only revisit GDW to see the characters I did like again; and to marvel at how amazingly animated some scenes are.
Towards the end of the anime, things get EPIC, especially the fight scenes. I've watched the final battle at least 9 times, that's how awesome it was.

Weed's overly naive attitude did make it hard to watch, but I kept watching, if only to find out what happened to my favorite tora-ge akita who was being held captive D8 I personally didn't give a crap about Weed.
He's not always so soft to everyone; and Kyoushiro get's pissed off about that in one of the later episodes.

Still, I'm proud to say I have the animes of both GNG and GDW under my belt and can attest to their awesome-ness
