I really like this format, Daniel! It is a little easier for me to read. However if it's so intensive that it slows down letters to Kyoko then I'm all for keeping the old format....lol.
If Kyoko was Texan she would probably just shoot the dog.

I guess, I will do some sort of compromise. Keeping the format, but speeding things up. The big secret (haha) is the size of the drawings. I am using 8x12 inches paper (20x30cm). The older letters had six panels on one page. Letters 23 had one panel per page, which sixfolded the time I needed to finish it. Obviously, the larger I draw, the prettier Kyoko becomes: a line, that´s a millimeter aside, doesn´t make that much of a difference, when the drawing is large. The smaller the drawing, the more obvious the unaccuracy becomes (can I say that?). It is quite hard to make Kyoko look like Kyoko, when the panels are so small. But I will try out two panels per page, which will triple the original time, but will still be larger then the old ones. We will see.
Texas - hm... I never could imagine Kyoko as a killer. She might be a bit sadistic, yes. But she has respect for life. That will basically be the main message of the manga, once it is finished. With the hairdresser giving his life for her, she has learned her first lesson and this learning-process will go on. Also I see those torture-bits more like a game between Kyoko and Kaori - nothing sinister. Also Kyoko would never cause her any permanent damage. She wouldn´t make Kaori bleed or cause bruises and she certainly wouldn´t break her bones. I consider it to be some sort of master/servant-relationship with the slave being allowed to talk and to complain

I was reading an article in the local paper about animal cruelty this morning. That's why my mind went there. It's disturbing.

Maddy (Leather-Toaster) had an announcement in her journal the other day, where she asked people to visit some sick webpage (something like rotten dot com, where they show pictures of people who got hit by a train and stuff): some demented bastards from the US held a cat for prisoner in a cage (picture provided) and held a poll where people could decide, if the cat would be released or killed in a cruel manner. Maddy wanted as many DeviantMembers to visit the page and vote for the release of the cat, about two hours before the poll ended (with a huge majority for "Kill The Cat!".
In the end PETA interfered in time, caught those bastards and the site went down for good - the bastards were a bunch of kids who claimed the whole thing to be a joke... According to authorities, they still got into deep trouble...
Because of that I have corresponded with the BKA, which is some sort of german FBI, how to react, when something like this happens again. As a matter of fact, you can inform the FBI (or the BKA for me; they will inform the FBI) or the equivalent institution for the country, the crime is being committed in and they will take action - fast, if neccessary. And I have to admit, that gives me a little more faith in human kind

I know you didn´t comment for that reason. But it is important to me, that you see, that I am taking help very seriously. "I do not like to decorate myself with other´s feathers", as we say in this country
I already loved "chatoyant". And "Un chaleureux bravo" is especially funny in connection with "Letters 23" and Kyoko´s behaviour

"Letters 23" inspired me the word "chaleureux" or "chaleureuse" (feminine). Looks like you succeed in reproducing one's behaviour/feelings, I think that part of Kyoko's success (and yours/your family's too)
