Although I think the one fatal misstep is the lack of a horn (a trademark for summoners in FF and Magic users in MLP). Stil awesome though.

I like the way you did her hair and clothing; shows just enough to know who she is, but not too much to overdo it
Maybe it's because I'm used to Celestia's footwear, but i feel like the footwear on her rearhooves are on backwards XP
Also, I think the legs are a bit awkward based on the perspective, but still not too bad
anyway, awesome job!

Thanks! Yeah, I had a reference of Rydia open as I worked since I'm not very familiar with the character and just took inspiration off of the art as I went. I did do this quickly but I think her legs look fine, but maybe that's just me!

oh and justin told me last night that he's almost done with season 1 of MLP...and had Rarity's sewing song stuck in his head for a couple of days.
oh and i honestly tried to ready Homestuck last week, and got so amazingly bored...i didn't get far past the point where the kid got his arms in the very beginning! that's just how bad it was! guuuuuh

Yeah, I got past that part of Homestuck and I'll keep trying! I've been told from renowned Homestuck nerds that the first act is really just annoying to read but it'll get better. Hopefully that's true! XD

i just really realized how well ur style works when doing the ponies...i'm very curious to see you do a pony in the same style as what you did your cyborg stuntman project from groff's class way back in the day...and how you did the header on the daft craft journal. i think it could be very enchanting.

One of the things that enchanted me most about the new Ponies was exactly that! That it's so much like the kind of flat and graphic art I love doing, and so much color theory! It was right up my alley all along XD
I had actually considered rendering Rydia here with the pen tool and whatnot but I thought that would take me longer and didn't want to keep the recipient waiting! And I was just looking at Apollo and thinking I wanted to revisit him and also definitely need to get back into using the pen tool, so you're right, I just need to be more disciplined!
