It is strikingly beautiful. Did this just naturally happen when you took the photograph and that is how the exposure came out? Or, did you have to modify it in some form?

Thank you! Editing consisted out of colour and contrast adjustments, and I combined a darker and lighter version of the photo manually.

No film exposure, with blending manually I mean I combine the two layers in the GIMP by hand, instead of using an effect from the program itself
