Description Editting done: I upped the contrast and saturation, and lowered the gamma slightly.

Edit: No, I did NOT use photoshop for this image. Like you can see above the editting done is minor. I took this photo on a misty morning in a forest where the snow, which had conserved the colours of the leafs on the ground well, had almost melted away. The reason why the path is white is because of the left-over snow, the reason why the background is white/greyish is because of the thick fog and the reason why the leafs are red is because they were If you got good circumstances you don't need to post-process much.

My photos are NOT stock. This means I do not want them to be used in any way. I don't mind them being used as a reference for a drawing/painting though: please visit this link for the rules nelleke.deviantart.com/journal…

It's an amazing picture. The colors aren't too bright but not too dim. The trees set off a sort of magical look. As said before, the angle does break the illusion a bit, but it could look as though done on purpose. It doesn't look fake really, it looks very real, it is a photograph after all! The second I saw it I fell in love with the colors. The contrast of the colors is peaceful but bright, which is a great, at least for me. Most reds are usually fiery and not calm at all, yet if I, say, used it as wallpaper for my room, I would find it easy to relax. I can imagine walking through that with no difficulty, and over all, I love it <3

Such a striking photo!! I'd say that even though you could have used some other perspective, (A higher angle, aiming more at the sky would make the photo much more mysterious and maybe even more intimidating as the branches of the trees look like they're crawling down on you) the scene looks magical; like a fictional forest designed to it's smallest bits. The desolate road that fades with the fog makes the photo even better; it definitely makes one wonder where the road ends; whatever is on the end of the road, it looks like it stained the forest with scarlet. Unfortunately, it faintly resembles the classic forest scenes that every apprentice oil painter paints.

This is an awesome scene.
Crisp vibrant colors coupled with the mist makes for a very pleasant photo.
The composition is very nice, with the trees closest to you as a very dark and powerful part of the image compared to the softer tones of the trees in the background.

The white path leading in to the photo and farther in between the trees give the image something for people to concentrate on.
Very nicely captured, a very mysterious scene with great colors.

Some areas are slightly under exposed, but it works well with the image.
Looking forward to future photos from you.

The colors are brilliant as is the feeling of depth. The rule of thirds shows in numerous objects. Your eye is drawn into the image from the red leaves to the path and the misty woods and then back to the red leaves up high in the foreground. While the colors were manipulated, they weren't washed out as can be seen from the moss on the side of the tree. An excellent and interesting composition as well as execution. It is both spooky and interesting at the same time. This is going in my favorites folder. I like it a lot. Great shot!

When I first looked at this I thought 'There is no way this is real. It either had major editing done or was drawn by an excellent artist.' But upon closer inspection, I realized that this indeed was a photograph, and a truly stunning one at that. The colors are very vibrant, and the river immediately catches your attention. I love how you were able to capture the curves of the trees and how you can even see the moss on the bark, even though the trees are very dark. Also, if you start from the bottom of the photo, the colors are darker and as you work your way to the top, you can see the fog and how it gets lighter and brighter. The contrast of the colors really brings the entire photograph together, and makes the whole picture absolutely stunning. To be able to capture that, you must have a very talented and skilled eye at photography and I believe you definitely do. Keep up the wonderful work!

This is absolutely stunning. The colours are magical and so very crisp and clear. It looks as though it ought to be a still from a very high expense movie, like Avatar expensive. Perhaps one thing is a little off. I think that the angle is a little too rakish. However, it does look as though it may have been intentional. Even so, it pulls one out of the illusion, sort of breaks the harmony between the colours and the shapes in the photograph. I think the best detail would have to be the sparse leaves toward the top of the tree. It is absolutely breathtaking.

Wow! You have such great talent. The colour is just amazing, and I think it's particularly smart that you don't edit this photo to a large extent. Leaving an image more natural makes it look more realistic and doesn't make it look over-processed. I love the lighting and set up, but I think a slight blur affect in the background would've been a nice touch. I also enjoy how it seems as if the snow on the path is trying to guide you down a path of safety. Your photo provides a story along with beauty and that is sometimes hard to achieve. Very cool! A job well done : ) Keep up the good work!
