Not too bad for this.

Things that needs work on, the eyes are a bit too far apart, the breasts are a bit too long, you may've added a bit too much clothes bends unless it's only me. It may be since I'm still a bit of a newbie for those things too. I've used to make them go all over the place on my past works. The shape of the head may need a bit of work too.

The shading on here looks great on here as well as the background.

Overall, a nice piece you've done on here.

I don't want to be harsh but this is a critique soo best to be upfront about it.

Positives: chosen colours and shading. The skin is very well blended with only minor problems and the chosen colours for the hair make the hair a focus point. The hairs colours are very well blended. The bold outlining of the person and hair focus the eyes on them but the background is fuzzy which adds to the affect. The eyes are typical anime style but are well shaded/blended with colour. The detail on the zipper is quite unexpected but cool.

Negatives: Sorry for the amount:
The anatomy needs work - practice. Even with the style of drawing, I'm assuming its going towards anime or cartoon like, the eyes are too far apart, the nose is offset, there are no cheekbones and the lips are too thin and just don't fit the face. These are easy fixes with practice .

The head is too large for the shoulders width and the body's chest makes the arms too narrow.
The hoodie has a good detailed zipper and calm colours but is ruined by the unnecessary creases and creases in the wrong places. On a real hoodie the zipper would be offset or affected by the creases overlapping it.
What may be a turtle neck - top under hoodie - has unnecessary creases / detail making it look too tight or just a bad fit.

The background has a faded affect which is good - at a level but its too faded with a lack of any detail bring the quality of the image down. (The further away from the main focus the less detail and more fading.) This joins with the light source as in where is it coming from is it mid-day or afternoon. (The further from the light source the darker the shading should get.

I don't mean to sound like an a****** but this could be a better (than it is now) drawing if you take my brutal but honest advice and criticisms. Sorry if I have offended any reading this.

Don't worry, I appreciate the advice. I'll keep that all in mind next time and hopefully it will turn out better.

First off, it's not too shabby! The thing that stands out the most to me is the colouring, the shading is detailed and the blending fades nicely, most noticeably on the skin. One thing that needs work is the anatomy, the eyes are far apart and the nose is offset and unnatural and the lips don't really fit on the face.

The folds and flow of her hoodie don't exactly fit, it just doesn't look right. The way the cloth lays on the body is not natural. The shoulders are too small, not reflective of a real human. Her posture is very stiff, drawing more active poses make it more eye catching and dare I say, natural.

All of these issues are easily fixable, and I would recommend using a reference. Basic anatomy seems boring to practice, but it can make your drawings go from meh to wow! So basically the colouring is really beautiful (the hair has a nice ombre colour and the skin is bright, not shaded with a lot of blacks which is vibrant and pretty to look at) and you should use a reference for drawing the body and face. Good luck on future drawings!

Hello! I'm here to critique your lovely piece^^ (First critique ever lol nervous)

So- the first thing that captured my eye is the clothing, it looks a little odd, some folds seem like they were just set randomly, which makes it look a little unnatural.

Then, the eyes. They look a little bit too far away for human anatomy, though I don't see any other flaws in this field.
sta.sh/01qqjsdr5c64 <- (I hope u don't mind ;v;

Third, the hair. I like the colors you chose for the persons hair. they blend together very well and are pleasant for the eye. Then the anatomy. The flowing hair looks a little unnatural for me, I think it wouldn't just go straight from the side.
sta.sh/01lgdpx3evsw <- didn't know how to say it e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="402" title=" (Blank Stare)"/>

Then to the shading, you did good, it's visible where the light is coming from, but I think you could make it a little darker at some places I've marked a a few.

I hope I was able to help you a bit ^^ Keep improving dear! <3

Thank you very much for the detailed critique! Those were all good points, and I think my next human drawing will benefit from your advice.

The colours look great, and I especially love how the colours in the hair look, as well as the eyes- such a a pretty mix of purple and pink! The background I really like too, the colours look great!

I think the others have already touched on the points about the face, clothing and anatomy, but other than that it looks really awesome!

I like the hair, skin, and eye colouring, as well as the blur in the background. I agree the eyes might be a little too far apart for real anatomy but its fine for a more stylized, Disney-ish approach xD. I'm a bit confused by the folds on the hood. I like the shirt and hoodie, nice choice of colours.and I like the lips.
