Hmm...well:
1.It could become one of those stalagmites that connect and become columns.
or
2.It could evolve into one of those crazy stalagmites that grow horizontally,vertically,and below altogether.
And a new idea.
3.It grows more stalacmites ON one of it's own existing stalactmites vertically.(A little similar to idea 2,but eh,I just came up with it right now)
My bets on 2 or 1.
