CHIPACHU is the PIKACLONE for Orange & Purple!It replaces Pikachu as the generic mascot but it will also be paired up with Leemur (once I have that design finalised.. -.-)!
Chipachu is an electric type Pokemon and is actually FASTER THAN LIGHT. It has high voltage capabilities and have been used in experiments in particle acceleration, however they are way too fast to use and have left some experiments destroyed, the Chipachu live of course!
It will evolve into an awesome Pokemon! And yes..with a thunderstone.
Chipachu is based off a ground squirrel and will learn a trademark attack.

..and yes it is a distant distant cousin of pikachu..They share the same ancestor..

Hmmm ...
I dunno, something isn't meshing right. I think he's TOO Pikachu. I mean, compare him to Marill, Pachirisu, and Emonga. He's way to on the nose a "This game's Pikachu!" for me. You meantioned that was the idea ... but he just looks like Pikachu's fat younger, nerdy brother.
There's nothing in this design that seems to merit anything you talked about, which is a very cool idea for a pokemon. Wouldn't a "faster than light" pokemon be better to correspond with a ... hummingbird? Or a cheetah? But a ground squirrel?
This ... this is ... no. Just no. That's all I can say, I guess.

Holy cow! Chipachu gets around the globe 7.5 times in a second, while it isn't even trying. It just tears hole into continuuums. Holy cow! xD

Design wise, I'd say pretty darn good.
May I suggest another colour for its cheeks than red, though? I think a nice blue wouldn't look bad.
