Sai is portrayed as a boy but he was born as a girl :L
It's really confusing, so many just think of him as a boy haha :L
I thought he was a girl and found out in the manga that he was born a girl, thus his appearance changing to a girl later on in the manga. But meh, it doesn't matter either way XP
He/She is awesome any gender xD

nope if ya notice 1. he has no boobs 2. the internet says so 3. if you read the comic don't you think sai and ai are more then just friends hmmmmmmmm XD 4.if he was a girl i would be majorly depressed cause then i wouldn't be able to say he's hot and drool all over him XD there still is a lot of controversy about so there will be people who disagree but to those people

She is really a girl and a clone of Sicks. When we saw the first time Sicks he said "Your code was 'Experiment 11', your birth was seventeen years ago, your sex was female.", and like Nelskii said, she take a female body when she works with his "father", Sicks.
But before that, everybody use "he" to speak about Sai.
