Description Because everyone seems to like "The Lonely God", I thought I'd post a few more from that series, which I called "Scenes that Never Happened." Basically, I wanted to create images around which scenes could be built (and a few of them I did indeed take and build a story around later). These were all done with ink and marker and then touched up in Photoshop.

Leela. Β It's actually based on a more recent photo of Louise Jamison.

It's partly based on the Gallifrey audio series, and partly on my own thought that it would be the only job on Gallifrey she would actually enjoy (if get in constant trouble doing!)

I could probably see that. They hand her a gun on the first day and she'll say, "Can't I just do it with my knife and thorns?" xD

Looking good! But I would imagine the Master to look much younger in that incarnation, since Professor Yana was found at a "very young age" and he had lived a full life as a human.

Nemo-the-Everbeing In reply to JZLobo [2013-06-14 06:37:39 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but we don't know what sort of genetic manipulation he did to de-age himself, or if it even happened. For all we know, those were implanted memories just like the Doctor's in 'Family of Blood', and a great deal of that never happened. Also, I just had a lot of fun drawing Derek Jacobi!

It was interesting to see a companion who genuinely functioned at his level, and tended to one-up him from time to time. I liked being able to see him on the back foot with a companion for really the first time.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nemo-the-Everbeing In reply to JJWS19 [2011-07-07 03:19:00 +0000 UTC]

Well, Romana's presidency was never Canon, per se. It's found throughout the audio plays, and makes a lovely thought. Maybe the new series didn't want to bring in another old companion? I don't know. Would have been good to see her, even in a new body.

Me, I'm still holding out hope for Susan.

I always imagined that the High Council got desperate when the war was going badly, held a vote of "No confidence" and deposed her in order to bring back Rassilon.

This is quite simply awesome; the rest is good, but I love Romana, and that's one of the most fantastic images of her I've seen. I'd love to see a version with the president's regalia.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nemo-the-Everbeing In reply to Ranisath [2009-12-18 18:41:54 +0000 UTC]

Well, this is an updated version of the president's regalia from the beginning of "Deadly Assassin". I figured fashions would change to suit the times, and so I mixed up the new series robes with the Baker robes (and color scheme), embellished a little (like I do) and got this!

Why, is that old man "Proffeser Yanago."

Because for some reason I just cant imagine him meeting the Doctor during the Time War. Or being near the Time Lords AFTER he disguised himself.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Ranisath In reply to LongCat777 [2009-12-17 07:22:48 +0000 UTC]

Technically, yeah, he probably should be in time lord robes and probably younger. I imagine he looked like the cartoon version of the Master (as played by Jacobi) in Scream of the Shalka:

But honestly, it's a bit of a nitpick.

Thank you very much! It's a great hobby to have, writing. And being able to illustrate things is a definite perk when you're as visually oriented as I am. I think I'd get really frustrated if I couldn't at least get down something vaguely like what was in my head onto paper with a pen and markers.

didnt doctor actually was in time war which was BEFORE the events in the series?

i mean, u should have drawn the first doctor, not the err... the 8th one?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nemo-the-Everbeing In reply to Out-Of-Blue-Series [2008-07-13 06:32:04 +0000 UTC]

The Time War happened after the end of the classic series (you meet several other Time Lords and go to Gallifrey during the eras of Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six and get frequent references in Seven's era too). The Daleks aren't introduced to the Doctor as a concept until the First Doctor episode "The Daleks" (second episode ever).

The Time War was a concept not introduced until the new series with Nine. It was after the movie events, which also reference Gallifrey being whole and well. Therefore the only Doctor likely to have been around when the Time War kicked off (likely precipitated by the destruction of the Dalek homeworld by the Seventh Doctor in the episode "Remembrance of the Daleks") was the Eighth Doctor.

The Time War also introduces the Jacobi Master after the events in the movie, in which the Master is "utterly destroyed". Hence why the Time Lords had to bring him back and give him another thirteen lives. He'd run through all of them and hijacked two other bodies by the events of the movie.

So, the Time War came between the movie events (8th Doctor) and the introduction of the Eccleston Doctor (9th), and well after the events of the classic series. 'Cause you can't visit Gallifrey and get elected president or stand trial there after it's been blown to bits.

Nope. They fled Gallifrey for reasons unknown and he's finally tracked down by the Time Lords at the end of "War Games", the final adventure of the Second Doctor (until that point in time, we'd only had hints as to what the Doctor was and where he came from.)

anyway what happened to susan?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nemo-the-Everbeing In reply to Out-Of-Blue-Series [2008-07-14 22:19:55 +0000 UTC]

All we know was that they were in exile. Susan fell for a human in "The Dalek Invasion of Earth" and the Doctor actually let her stay there for her first adolescent crush. We have no idea what happened to her after that.
