Not really a superhero battle. But she IS racing to prevent a huge asteroid from slamming into our planet. That counts as superheroics, right?
Ms. Miracle's stats:
Real name Amelia Moore-Parker
Born 1928
In 1951, twenty-three year old Amelia Moore was a secretary at Harbor City University’s Chemistry Department. She’d had encounters with the mysterious hero calling himself Minuteman several times, as he began to make a name for himself in the area as a costumed crime fighter. While aiding Minuteman against the villainous Red Death, she was poisoned by the revenant’s powers. In order to save her, Minuteman gave her a dose of the same mutagen that gave him his powers, theorizing that it would super-charge her metabolism and allow her to recover from Red Death’s death touch. The combination of the serum, Red Death’s magic, and some X-Factor within Amelia’s body or genetic structure not only cured her; it caused her to develop amazing super-powers of her own!
Originally calling herself Miracle Girl, she became Minuteman’s sidekick. Her relationship with him quickly developed from hero-worship to mutual respect, and then to a budding romance. She and Parker married in 1952, and as her powers continued to develop and grow, she became less his aide and more his partner.
She and Minuteman became founding members of the Crusaders in the late 1960’s
Amelia and John divorced in the md-1970’s, as marital troubles compounded by the fact that she didn’t age while he did made their relationship unworkable. Amelia rechristened herself as Ms. Miracle soon after.
Powers
Superhuman strength - at first, Amelia was able to lift a full-size sedan with some effort, but as time went on her strength continued to grow. Eventually, it was learned that her physical power is a function of her willpower. The more she believes in herself, the more physically powerful she becomes. Effectively, if she believes that she can lift something, she can!
Flight - Amelia is able to fly at incredible speeds. Although a top speed has not been established for this power, she is able to reach the moon in a matter of minutes.
Invulnerability - Amelia is pretty much completely invulnerable to most forms of conventional weapons. Even high-powered energy weapons have limited effect against her, and she has showed extreme resistance to heat, cold, radiation and caustic environments. She is also immune to poisons and diseases, can survive indefinitely in hard vacuum, and does not need to eat or breathe.
