Wow, breathtaking! Which version of Vue 9? I can never get Vue to render anything that complex because my hypervue network crashes.

An incredible image!!

Hi and many thanks for your comment!! I use Vue 9 Esprit with a few additional modules, but without Hypervue,... and than nothing else is possible on the machine at the same time And it takes a lot of time...

That is good to know! Sometimes, I see people post amazing Vue images that were rendered in just a few hours, and I think that I must be doing something wrong! I've had bad luck with hypervue, it crashes frequently. The internal render engine always works, it is just very slow.

I can see the time and effort you put into this piece. It is stunning.

Since using Vue9 i also had problems rendering with the external render engine. So i use only the internal engine, which is very slow but it works. And the best thing for me is the new re-light function. And i've heard that people are rendering different layers, foreground, middle and background and put them in Photoshop together... but i still didn't tried that.
Thanks and greets,
Nenad

The multi-layered approach is what I usually do. Vue does allow you to save an alpha mask with your renders, so multi-layered renders are fairly easy. On the other hand, I almost always render my figures in Poser, because I'm still struggling to get Poser imports working in Vue -- though it's difficult to match the lighting with this technique! I've finally started having success importing Poser 8 scenes by selecting the February SDK option in Vue's Poser import settings, but I haven't used this much yet!

I didn't know about relighting until you mentioned it. Thanks for the heads-up! I'm going to play with that now!

No prob - someone else also gave me the tip with relight And as i saw you gave it a try importing Poser inside Vue
