i always loved Ragnarok Online, it was the first MMO i ever played, i also played some other MMOs for a few years β i eventually stopped playing Online-Games, as they are too timeconsuming. i still feel very nostalgic about them, especially Ragnarok. MMO times always were good times
Now i mostly play Singleplayer RPGs, i liked the Final Fantasy Series up to FF12, but now good RPGs are rare. I loved turn-based battles.
What about you? Any good tipps on what to play?

My introduction to online play was FFXI so that has a special place in my heart. Kudos for the FF12 mention, that's one of my absolute favorites. If you're into turn based jrpgs the breath of fire series especiall BOF2 is amazing. If you have an emulator I recommend Terranigma. It came out in '95 but was never ported to a western audience. I won't spoil anything, but you get to fight Hitler and Stalin fused and put into a Gundam. It's pretty amazing. If you're feeling adventurous pick up Pathfinder or DnD. I feel that nothing really gets the nerd juices flowing like a good tabletop roleplaying session--even if you're just roleplaying with friends over voice chat and a dice roller. Other than that you sound like you have excellent taste.

OMG i totally remember Terranigma! I played it on emulator when i was a kid and loved it (i mostly remember that i was able to trow pots on people)!
RPGs that instantly come to my mind that i can really recommed too are Shadow Hearts 1 + 2 for PS2 and Lost Odyssey for Xbox360.
i need more friends that like tabletop roleplaying, it's really hard to get a good crew with a good storyteller. only tried it once so far, and i have to admit, it was boring, but just because everything took foreeeeever. took us three hours to beat a jellyfish-monster and that really kills the fun XD
