Hey, this take me a lot o time! At least I'm submitting it!I think that this piece have a lot of points to improve, but I'll try to fix it another time.
Well, this is the Lion-O character, from Thundercats, a famous series on TV. I hope you like it! Critiques are very wellcome!

hehe... concordo plenamente contg... sao realmente as pequenas dicas e modo de olhar a composicao que faz a diferenca.... estou cursando programacao visual, entao a gente esta aprendendo mt sobre a maneira de olhar a composicao como um todo... existe tecnicas tao simples e que dao efeitos q a gente fica d cara meu!

I tried follow you tips to get this effect on the sword
But I've also tried to do some lightnings around it, or some glow, but it didn't work... so I give up at this. Do you have any advices for making this effect Andy?

to get a glow I use a big airbrush, white colour and set to overlay then adjust the opacity to what I want. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
