Description Here's a pic of what my Girls Und Panzer OC Viola looks like. I know that this is actually Saya from Highschool of the Dead, I'm simply showing what Viola looks like.... Anyhow, here's her profile....

Name: Viola

Real Name: Iwa Inoue

Age: 16

Personality: Logical but passionate and opinionated but well meaning and friendly, a type of tsundere whose openly friendly to others unless angered on embarrassed.

School: Formerly Maginot Girls College, currently St Alpine College as a 1st year and soon to be 2nd year

Club: St Alpine Tankery Team

Team Position: Overall Team commander

Likes: Tankery, chocolate, French, German and Italian Culture, games of intellect and strategy, smart people, her friends and family, logical behaviour, etc.

Dislikes: Impulsiveness /even when she does it/, people who break their word, games of pure chance, people who behave stupidly, etc.

Preferred Tankery Tactics: Defence-themed tactics where strong defensive positions are set up that make the enemy come at them and get skewered by. When her forces HAVE to move, they do so in a way that keeps them together in a formation that allows them to support each other.

Biography: Viola was born to and raised by a rich family to be independent minded. She was also raised with a deep appreciation of French culture and grew to like tankery so she ended up joining her school's tankery team and by the time of her senior year in Elementary, she was the team commander and was well known for her good defence tactics and strategies that made foes bleed themselves white trying to overcome them. These tactics got Viola's team to the finals in the larger area where her school was at which in her mind, validated defence-oriented tactics so when it came time to join a school where tankery was big, she wasted no time in applying for Maginot Girls College and got in. Her time in Middle School at Maginot was largely uneventful as she joined the school's junior high tankery team which had mixed results during her time there and by the time of her senior year, became the overall tank commander of the middle school team and got them to the 2nd round only to lose to Pravda's middle school team though it was a close match where Pravda bled heavily.

Note: The team Maginot beat in the 1st Round was the Bonple Team /team based on Poland/ which used calvary themed tactics but when tried them against Maginot's strong defensive line, got skewered and wiped out.

Once Viola made it to high school, she joined its tankery team and was made commander of one of the Char B1 tanks due to her skill. Despite the fact that Maginot's high school tankery team hadn't gotten past the 1st round of the National Tournament in a while, Viola felt that they shouldn't give up on defence-themed tactics and trusted then Commander Madeline's judgement and dedication to those tactics. When Eclair challenged Madeline for leadership of the team /and won/, Viola was displeased and regarded it as a coup against the rightful commander and frequently made her displeasure towards Eclair known and only grudgingly obeyed her /and even then, it was only because Madeline was still on the team/. When Madeline left the team followed by 51 out of 80 of the other members, part of Viola's crew left too. Viola only stayed on for the sake of the team and of Maginot though she didn't fault those who left the team out of anger towards Eclair.

In the 1st Round match at the Nationals, Viola felt that Maginot should be able to defeat Anzio as they had a large edge in firepower and if they fight intelligently, had nothing to worry about. When Anzio's forces provoked Eclair to chase after their tankettes with all of her forces, Viola tried to talk her out of it and said how Anzio was trying to isolate the slower flag tank so they'd have a shot at taking it out. Eclair didn't listen of course as she was displeased at her earlier acts of insubordination and ordered all her forces to charge after the tankettes. This led to Anzio's light tanks attacking the isolated flag tank that had fallen behind and to take it out thus costing Maginot the match.

To say that Viola was miffed at Eclair is an understatement but she wasn't mad at Anzio and regarded them as just doing their job and congratulated them for their victory and had pleasant conversations with Anchovy, Carpaccio and Linguini. At the debriefing the following day, Viola pinned the blame for their defeat to a team they should've beaten on Eclair and her recklessness and challenged her for leadership of the team. The winner gets to be leader while the loser had to leave the team which Eclair accepted. When Eclair won the match /though barely/, a depressed Viola honoured the agreement and resigned but so did the remainder of Viola's teammates from her tank as they were loyal to her.

Note: If Viola had won, she'd planned to invite all those who'd left the team back and to give leadership back to Madeline /if she came back/ or to a suitable 3rd year replacement.

In the aftermath, she'd heard that St Alpine College /a Swiss themed school/ was creating their own tankery team and had a mixture of French and German tanks. Seeing a means to still be in tankery, she along with her old crew along with a number of girls who'd left Maginot's team over Eclair's rise to power transferred and helped to set up the team for the coming year. There was also a tankery match to determine who would be the overall commander which Viola won but she made a then 2nd year girl named Joanna /who'd also been loyal to Madeline and was a taskmaster who made a great enforcer/ to be the vice-commander.

In the coming year, Viola and the St Alpine Team will be out to prove themselves to the tankery world and to show that defence-oriented tactics and strategies have value to them.

Notes: Just to be clear, Viola doesn't hate Eclair, she only dislikes her and was angry at her for usurping the commander position from Madeline. Despite being insubordinate frequently, she was only like that when she felt that Eclair was giving impossible and illogical orders. She DID try to be respectful when giving advice but Eclair's stubborn attitude angered her. While Viola wishes Eclair and Maginot College well, Viola DOES want to defeat her on the battlefield.

Also, I'm not trying to bash Eclair. I'm simply writing things out from Viola's point of view.

One more thing, Viola quite respects Kuromorimine and other strict, more disciplined schools which was part of the reason why she transferred to St Alpine since it's known for those sort of things.

Nancy actually has short black hair and looks like a good girl /and acts that way too at times/ but is basically a dominatrix with a full body suit and whip in combat. Remember that Nancy is one of Honest's daughters so she had to put on a "I'm a sweet and innocent girl" appearance in public for a number of reasons. Once I find a suitable pic of what Nancy looks like, I'll post her profile.

Viola: /smirks/ I'm doing all right. I've settled into my new life at St Alpine's College and am currently leading the effort to set-up the tankery team for next year. We've been engaging in a lot of practice involving tactics, accuracy, loading shells, etc. It helps that a large part of our team comes from Maginot Girls' College so we're used to tankery and all that it involves.

Do you have any other questions?

Neo-Byzantium In reply to vassilizaitzev [2020-03-25 00:13:19 +0000 UTC]

Viola: Well, I tend to prefer having my tanks take root in a strong defensive position like a forest, a rock formation or a town and lure the enemy to it. When my forces have to move for whatever reason, I have them move together in a strong defence oriented formation to cover each other. My overall goal is to force the enemy to my team's defensive position and bleed them white as they try in vain to breach my line.

I also try to take into account that the enemy will strike from different angles or come up with unconventional tactics to breach my team's defensive position which is why my forces are placed so they can support each other to avoid being taken out by a surprise move by the enemy. Of course, it'd be arrogant of me to say that nothing can possibly go wrong as my forces can possibly get ambushed by the enemy on route to an ideal defensive position or some other scenario that I haven't thought of can occur. Tankery's a learning process where anything can happen which makes it all the more interesting, next question.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Neo-Byzantium In reply to vassilizaitzev [2020-03-25 02:37:25 +0000 UTC]

Viola: That IS a concern that I've always had but to blindly charge into the enemy without considering all factors is foolish as Chihatan proved in the past. One must fight calmly and intelligently on the battlefield and while St Alpine tankery/infantry doctrine is primarily based on defence, we ARE willing to engage in slow and steady offence movements on the field of battle when need be plus as I said earlier, we don't wait for the enemy to come to us, we use our light tanks to lure the enemy to our defence position and either ambush them or force them to attack our line and get skewered by it much like how the forces of Duke Charles the Bold of Burgundy were by Swiss mercenaries in olden times.

Next question please......

How do you feel about the larger schools like Kuromorimine or Pravda?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Neo-Byzantium In reply to vassilizaitzev [2020-03-25 03:02:13 +0000 UTC]

Viola: I quite like and respect Kuromorimine and have applied to have our two teams have a joint match together against Maginot and Pravda sometime. Maho was a great commander who I deeply respect and I expect much the same from Erika.

Regarding Pravda, our two schools haven't exactly had the best history together and neither have I. It's complicated but suffice to say, I regard Pravda as a personal and professional rival to St Alpine plus Katyusha and I tend to bicker quite a bit given our respective short fuses and how she seemingly looked down at my old school Maginot and my current school St Alpine. We're working on improving relations between us however and I'll admit that they're worthy foes that you can count on doing their best in everything they do.

I'm quite fond of St Gloriana as they're quite skilled in everything they do and are quite elegant plus they're polite and friendly to even their foes. Back when I was at Maginot before the sudden change in our team's leadership, we had a nice joint match with them against Saunders and Koala Forest and then a nice post-match gathering with them where I hit off pretty well with Darjeeling, Orange Pekoe and Assam.

As for Saunders, I've always been kind of turned off by their casual behaviour as I've been taught the importance of formality and other things in social interactions. They're quite friendly of course which I appreciate but they can be somewhat over the top in their emotional reactions at times though I deeply respect how their tankery team commander Kay scolded Alisa for using a radio balloon in their match against Oarai as it showed that Kay's got a lot of character and honour to her.

On an added note, since Oarai won the national championship and are quite creative in their tactics and strategies, I regard them as an elite school so I'll tell you what I think of them as a bonus. I quite respect them and enjoyed my old school's practice match against Oarai even though we lost it plus I deeply respect and admire their tankery commander Miho and I look forward to having a match against her.

Next question....

/OOC: You should ask her how she feels about Eclair and/or about what happened from her point of view that led her to leaving Maginot. Just be polite and respectful when you ask though as it's a touchy subject for her..../

“So...I have to ask. What happened between you and Eclair? Did you hear that two of her teammates abused her and tried to throw her into a pit of mud after Maginot last loss? She was found crying in the arms of one of the Leclerc boys.”

Neo-Byzantium In reply to vassilizaitzev [2020-03-25 04:37:02 +0000 UTC]

Viola: /sighs and takes in a deep breath/ That is a long story but I'll tell you about what happened as best I can. As you know, Maginot has been eliminated in the 1st round of the National tankery tournament for several years in a row but I was confident that with the right adjustments, skill and teamwork, that we'd be able to do better in the coming tournament. Four months before the last National tournament however, Eclair who was frustrated after we lost a close practice match accused then Commander Madeline of holding back their team with "archaic" defence themed tactics and challenged her for leadership of the team.

Eclair won and after becoming commander, tried to switch our tactics to those that're calvary themed and was heavily inspired by Napoleon's battle tactics. /frowns/ However, many of us were displeased with Eclair's little stunt and regarded her as a usurper who basically depose Madeline in a coup and was trampling all over Maginot's traditions for the sake of victory. As a result, we tended to be insubordinate towards her on a regular basis including me though I tried to be respectful and give her constructive criticism though I did snap at her out of frustration quite a bit and tended to disobey her orders when I felt that they were impossible or illogical so we could win or at least gain an advantage. When Madeline announced that she was leaving the team, the majority of the team left with her including part of my crew. I almost did as well but I grudgingly stayed on the team out of loyalty to it and Maginot.

After our defeat at the Nationals to Anzio in the 1st round, to a team that we should've on paper been able to defeat, I was fed up and openly blamed her for our defeat and challenged her for leadership of the team with the loser having to resign from the team. I'd planned to invite everyone who'd quit back to the team if I won so we could get everything back to normal for the coming year but sadly, I lost and so I kept my word and resigned but so did the remainder of my crew as they agreed with me. My crew and I along with many of those who'd quit the team before soon transferred to St Alpine to create a new tankery team but that's another story.

/looks sympathetic/ The problem that Eclair and I have with each other is that we're too similar in personality where it counts and have opposing tactics and strategies. She's inspired by calvary charges from the Age of Napoleon and I'm inspired by the strong defensive positions of the Western Front in WW1 and in the Maginot Line of early WW2. I don't hate Eclair or anything and in fact, I think that she's a sweet and caring girl who means well. /angry looking/ She certainly didn't deserve to be abused by those two wretched girls, those two should be sent to juvenile hall for what they did. Also, their reason for their cruel stunt was unjust as there's no shame in losing to Kuromorimine provided you do your best and to be honest, even if Madeline and the rest of us had been there and all trained up, we would've likely STILL lost as much as I hate to admit it.

/nods calmly/ I wish Eclair and the Maginot team well but if we meet in battle, I fully intend to lead my team to victory. Next question.

Viola: As a matter of fact, I have. My family and I went on vacation to France before I entered High School and we stopped off at Verdun. It was truly an epic battle and proof that the French are NOT spineless cowards who need help from everyone else to win battles. We also visited Paris, Normandy, Vichy, Toulon, Bordeaux, Marseilles and other noteworthy places throughout France, it's truly a remarkable country and seeing it made me even MORE determined to see France well represented amongst Japan's themed schools.

Neo-Byzantium In reply to vassilizaitzev [2020-03-27 00:21:57 +0000 UTC]

Viola: Well, our team is a mixture of transfer students from Maginot and newcomers to tankery plus even those of us who were on Maginot's tankery team are still getting used to the German and Italian tanks plus many of our infantry boys are still getting used to being infantrymen so we're not expecting to win the Nationals or anything in the coming year. I'm confident however that we'll make an impact in the next national tournament and will establish ourselves as a force to be reckoned with in mixed tankery/infantry. Next question.

Viola: It's a large ship comparable in size to the school ships that the big 4 schools of tankery /Kuromorimine, Pravda, St Gloriana and Saunders/ use. It has a mini mountain used for winter sports along with a number of different sports facilities and Swiss themed shops and businesses in the city part of the ship. Also, a number of our facilities, businesses and dwellings are on decks below the surface of the ship as doing outdoor winter sports like skiing requires us to be far enough north for snow to fall and for ice to form so it pays not to have to go outside unless necessary.
