Dwicky and Phisty from mine and Kitteh's AU!DADR fanfic: FanboyIn all honesty I never saw myself drawing Phisty, ever. (Read as 'vowed to never' XD )
But rather recently, out of no where, I found Phisty to suddenly have grown on me... like a rash. I dunno.. he's like the guy you just love to hate. He's so bad that he's great. I guess it didn't hurt that I drew him rather easy on the eyes XD
I won't say exactly who Phisty is for those of you who haven't read Fanboy. But I will say that he's very... emo!possesive of Dwicky. He's already publically undressing Dwicky-- right here on DA~!
Save for who he is-I will tell you that Phisty isn't an IZ OC. Newp. He's a background character in the show: Mephistopholina. Look here [link] and you'll find him.
Ah the glory of artistic license with background characters.
I don't think anyone who reads Fanboy likes poor mellow dramatic Phisty. Which is a shame, because there's probably going to be more of him to come >D
I'd probably get a shoe thrown at me if I said they're OTP

I like this drawing, and your interpretation. He's prettier, I always figured he'd be dour, and a little visually insufferable, to mimic his character.

haha, I love Dwicky's look of supreme concentration. Do you get the designs on their shirts using some kind of layering thing in photoshop or some such? anyway, I really like the urban look it gives them

Usually I gank punk patterns and greyscale them, or mix and match punk-ish pictures and shrink them down to fit. I meld it altogether with screen tone settings I have in the layers in Photoshop.

I don't hate Phisty as a character; it's his presence that's more aggravation-inducing than who he is. But in a fic with a focal pairing, anyone who gets in the way of that pairing is immediately going to be seen as The Enemy, and in that sense, I actually feel sorry for him. But on the other hand, his relationship with Dwicky isn't a very happy one, so I don't really feel like I should necessarily *want* him to stay with the boy, regardless of Dib's presence... Agh, so complicated! XD
