A new one, yeah !Although I'm not quite satisfied with the result here, I got to say I'm very please to have been able to create the atmosphere I wanted, if you see the stock pictures you'll see it wasn't that easy.
Anyway, this is Lazarus, DeadWing's third song, very calm and slow, and also very sad. The album is a lot about going somewhere (but not here...) we don't really know about, like a radom travel. This is kind of the end of the first step, he leaves the land of the leaving to go... somewhere else. I didn't realise that clear before that this song was about a suicide, so I kind of try to make it clearer in my deviation.
The color scheme is for once very similar to the album, a bit greenish with some orange/burnt areas, and some grungy effect. I'm also very happy 'cause I've managed to put the 'washed up moon through the fog" (beginning of the song, for the ones who don't know it) and for me the valley below was some kind of metaphore which I simply materialzed with the lake.
Anyway, thanks a lot for watching this, and now.... the stocks !

I'll be honest with you: the Arriving Somewhere picture was supposed to be a car crash ("did you imagine the final sound... the smashing windscreen of a car" or something like that). Thing is, my best friend and girlfriend had a terrible car accident at that moment, and, well... It kind of turned me off car crashes for a while. But she's better now, and I've been taking pictures to continue the series. It will come back soon, stay tuned !
And thanks for the support, overall, I am very glad that you use this as a wallpaper. I would like to make a wallpaper version, but I don't think the stock I used are enough, so it will probably stay that way

Well, I still find those works a bit too "flat", if you see what I mean... It suffers of a lack of depth, to me, especially the first ones... The series is not finished, though, but I had to stop, when I wanted to do the illustration of "Arriving somewhere"... I chose the sentence "did you imagine the final sound of the smashing screen of a car"... and my girlfriend had a car accident. So I'll wait a bit until I can emotionally come back to the subject

I went and looked at the originial photos, and it's true that it must have taken some time to get this mood
AND! I went and downloaded the Porcupine Tree album, and I can now officially say that your pictures match the moods of the song very well. it's interesting to look at your pictures and then listen to the song.. it always makes me think of the song a little differently.

Yeah, the blending wasn't really a easy part, and then I added something like 50 differents layers with various blendings/colors/textures on a background in b&w converted to sepia.
I'm really glad you think the pictures fit with the songs, actually while listening to them looking at the pictures, I wasn't THAT happy with it... But I guess I listen to them for too much time, now, so I'm really happy to have a fresh, new opinion about it. Sure, that's my own interpretation of the songs
I hope you like the songs as well, if you do you'll probably like all songs from PT, and then... enjoy

oh man, I know how that goes. you finally get the textures and pictures how you like it, only to realize you have 100 layers or something XD such is life.. still! I think you did a very nice job blending it. I wouldn't have really been able to pick out the separate pictures if you hadn't given all the links
you know, all this gives me an idea.. my favorite underground band, phathom, would be perfect for a series like this. I might just have to do something.. giving props to the person with the original idea, of course *tips hat* ^^
I do like them! it was different than what I was expecting, but still nice overall. I only got the Deadwing album, so I might have to get the others as well ^^

Well, yeah, actually the whole concept is based on songs, and actually I think it's way better if you know the songs, especially the lyrics. I think I'll add a link to [link] or something so viewers can actually listen to the song
I thought for a long time ago to finally do something with all those pictures which literally pop up while listening to a song, and this album is so "atmospheric" I found it perfect
There's gonna be 9 tracks/pictures plus one, secret, bonus, whatever
And yeah, this is probably the best so far. Actually, this might be the best after all, 'cause I really don't know I'll manage to do the next ones

Oui, c'est fait exprès la corde, c'est pour ça qu'elle est flou, aussi. En fait, l'histoire, c'est que le mec regarde le paysage et qu'une voix dans sa tête lui dit de se suicider. La corde en réalité est fictive, c'est lui qui l'imagine
