Description I did this for a Gargoyles online calendar. As the colors of the original drawing were to pale, I darkened it with my pc. I'll post the original version in my scrapbook.
I'm not satisfied with the coloring. It looks somehow dirty.
It was my first work with aquarell pencils (I don't know the correct English expression, in Germany they are called Aquarellstifte). You can use these pencils like normal colored pencils (see Brooklyn) but if you use a wet brush after drawing, the colores become ... let's say watercolores or something like this (see the background). I think, I'll have to learn much more about working with these pencils.

Oh, really? I use a German brand of aquamonolith pencils called Cretacolors. Fabulous colors.... like watercolors in a stick.

It's interesting that you seem to use Brooklyn's full frontal pose. Most artists find his beak very intimidating but you managed it quite nicely. Well done!

Thank you
I have to admit that I don't know the colors you mentioned. Perhaps I should try them. I love to try new mediums! Finding new ways of making pictures is fun! You never know what you get in the end
I used aquarell pencils from a German firm named Faber Castell. The quality of this firm's products is very good.

His beak is one of the things I like most about Brooklyn. OK, sometimes it's hard to find out, how to draw it in a special pose and sometimes I make mistakes but drawing it is fun! I love to make little drawing experiments with it.
