Description My life usually consists of emotions. I get them and I give them back, just can't bear them inside of me for a long time.
This game (BAROQUE for PS2) gave me so much emotions (positive or negative - can't say now) so it was just imposible for me to do anything rather than pour all of them into this piece of work.

The person depicted here is Joukuu Tenshi (Advanced Angel), the one who can be called the game protagonist's helper or somewhat the one who leads him through his not so simple life. This red-eyed blonde is cool and calm and very kind (but a bit indifferent...) Untill you die for about 25 times and he frightens you to death, because you already love him and worship him and try all your best to help him but he blames you for all deadly sins, still being calm though. (I got a psychological trauma here... And that's what I call Real Emotions!)
Speaking of the drawing itself I should mention that the wings gave me rather a head ache. And I'm not satisfied with them still. On top of that, after finishing this thing I realized that the wings were in fact not real wings but artificial ones. So they are just statically present on this guy's back and he doesn't use them for flying or anything else, so there's no need to wave them up and down not speaking of back and forth. So they just can't be pointed in such a direction. But what's done is done...
Personally I like the eyes in this picture. Because I like to draw eyes. ^^ And I know, I know... I should practice a lot to be able to draw hair that will look more or less good...

Personally I'm used to the term "Archangel", since it sounds better to me and it's what he's called in the version I'm playing. But eventually I started playing any version I could find.

This is a beautiful interpretation of him, although I have to say I didn't know it was him at first because you have a style I'm not very used to. Very pretty!

I felt the same way in the game, you wanted to dedicate yourself to him but everyone kept telling you that he can't be trusted. >_< I still respect the guy, though.

Wow this is so beautiful! The face definitely holds a lot of emotion, and the pose is very lovely, along with the coloring. And I really enjoyed reading your description. It makes me want to buy this game even more. I almost bought today but I was unsure.

I loved that guy for a while there too. Did you play the PS2 version/Wii Version or the one that wasnt a remake? (my friend just told me the one Im playing is a remake of the game...) This picture is so awesome... I don't know how you did it. My idea of drawing's stopps at the end of "notebook I picked up on my way out of Wallgreens, a pen and some markers" lol.

I played the japanese PS2 version. As far as I know there was a Sega Saturn and PS1 versions back in 1998 and 99 and the new PS2 version doesn't differ much from them, only the graphics became better but the plot is the same.
But I didn't play earlier versions. I'm not a true baroquer ))
I think that "notebook and a pen" are great tools. I started with a noteboook and a pencil, now I use openCanvas softwear and a tablet. I can't say that my skills are great, but I like what I do and I think it's all due to the drawing expierience that I got in my schooldays when I used paper and color pencils.
Just practice a lot and I'm sure you'll be able to draw great pictures!

^_^ the tablet makes it look great. They say the bad artist always blames the brush but the materials you use really do matter more than youd think. Whether or not your skills are great the picture looks great and that's the point no? lol Thanks for telling me I might look into a tablet. they're getting pretty common now hmm

The hair is beautifully drawn.
Those wings must have been hard to draw.

(Oh, yes, Advanced is such an interesting character )
