The only thing I'll say, although it might have been said before, is that the yellow/gold shoulder stripes are missing.

Cause I wasn't done with the costume. ^^
This is my first try at kusanagi ever.
The eyes are the wrong colour, I am missing lines on the actual spandex, I don't have the right buttons or the gold accents on the coat and I am holding the WAY wrong gun.
Not to mention my hair is too light, too long, and not cut at all right.

I don't usually even work with patterns. For some reason they just don't turn out right. Haha.

that is so funny that so many people like this one, because it was just a test run. It wasn't even my real costume. The hair is off (wrong colour and cut horribly!), the eyes are purple, I had to photoshop out my panty line and all that. haha.
Anyway, thank you, though. ^_^
I need to get pictures of it when it is all done and see what you think now. ^_^

That unfortunate, but not a surprise; a lot of people out there don't know how to handle themselves in the world. The first thing I think of is just how cool it looks...though I won't deny any attractive qualities it has either

I'll start by saying that the best part of this costume is... the gloves lol. I love the gloves! Also, your pose seems to be reminiscent of Kusanagi, that kind of "I don't care" nonchalant pose. The one-piece suit is nice, gives a little sexy touch to the pic, and the hair is pretty good, not the best but still good. The coat is great, except for the outstanding stitching on it
Piercing, under the lip, very distracting lol
I need to stop looking at Motoko cosplays... makes me more eager for the movie to come out friggin sooner

That one is my real hair. A few of them is a wig just because my hair was still cut the same way, just the fronts were pink and i was too lazy to dye it back to purple. Anywho, thank you very much. ^_^

oh I agree, sometimes they cast actors/actresses for roles due to their popularity rather than how they look. Alba as Invisible woman in fantastic four was a HORRIBLE choice.
Boobs aren't that important I think, the Major isn't that big lol unlike Lara Croft thats just a dumb size.

If i try i can act very much like her... and recently i have been... at least like her in the first movie.
In the movies she isn't very large breasted... and i think this is supposed to be a sequel to innocence... which would be nice. ^_^
but i get an eerie feeling they are going to try to Stand Alone Complex it... which is where the boobs come in. -_-;

The first movie is my fav. I own the first and second seasons of SAC, but most of the chapters are just random crimes rather than a whole plot (although theres the Laughing Man case). I like the movie because it deals with a lot of interesting psychological and spiritual themes while still having a profound topic about technology, I love it.
If you can portray her well, I doubt boobs would be an issue, personally I think the whole "omg big boobs" deal is overrated, I can't understand why some men are obsessed with it, to me its a bit disgusting.
Not sure if they will actually make a live action of GITS, would be kinda interesting I guess but nothing beats the original and the manga of course.
Glad I met another GITS fan
