Description
Throughout life, heroes are noticed and praised, while some are overshadowed and unnoticed. In SAO, are the ranks of Kirito, Asuna, and The Knights of the Blood Oaths. They were considered important people in the front lines. One certain individual was unnoticed and wanted to be recognized. The player served within the light and shadows, but would always be out shown by the higher ranks. Ever since SAO became a death game, lives were lost and the individual wanted to become stronger so he could rise above the ranks and assist in clearing the game so no more pointless deaths occur. The individual wanted to prove that anyone can be strong, and mostly that he could reach the ranks and assist in the front lines. He would complete quest and such. He was strong but he was still overshadowed. He would always visit a certain blacksmith for materials to enhance his skills and weaponry. Too bad that he grew fond of the blacksmith herself and noticed she had feelings for someone else.

*Lisbeth's point of view*

I was working my normal day in my shop. I worked on Asuna's sword and finished it. She thanked me after paying me.

"Aren't you supposed to be hunting with the guild today, Asuna?" I asked as she blushed a little.

"Well, I'm taking the day off. I'm meeting someone, you see." She said as I noticed her earring. It must have been a gift from someone.

"So that's it." I said with a devious grin.

"It's not like that." She said with a blush on her face. We heard the bell ring as she seemed in a hurry.

"I gotta get going! See you!" She said as she ran off.

"You've found something important, haven't you?" I asked as she ran off.

"Don't keep your date waiting." I said as she turned around.

"It's not like that. See you." She said as she walked out.

"I wonder if I'll ever find something important too?" I asked myself as I stared off. I finished making a sword as I heard the doorbell rig two times. I took of my gloves and made sure I had my smile. I walked in and greeted two men who walked in. One was a boy with black hair and a black trench coat kind of armor. The other one had (h/l) (h/c) hair and (e/c). They were looking around as the one in black noticed me. I saw that other one before a couple of times before but I didn't really mind him. he would usually give me a glance and check out weapons.

"Hello there, I'd like to order a custom made weapon." he said as I noticed the other customer giving me a glance of some sort. I shrugged it off and got back with the other one. I gave him a questionable glance. Does he even have enough money?

"At the moment metal prices are high." I said.

"Don't worry about the cost. I just want the best sword you can make right now. I told the requirements and he nodded. He showed me his sword and told me he wanted a sword stronger or equal to it. I was impressed at the sword so I offered the best one I ever made. It was my masterpiece. He wanted to test it, I was hesitant but I let him. He used his sword and it destroyed my masterpiece. I was shocked and mortified. I grabbed his shirt and the customer intervened.

"No need to get violent, Lisbeth." he said as he separated us. I wondered how he knew my name.

"In case you're wondering, I know your name because the sign is a dead give away." He said calmly as he kept me at bay.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know it would break so easily." He said.

"Are you saying that my masterpiece was weak and lamer than you expected?!" I asked in anger as the other customer held me back.

"Calm down. Kirito didn't mean to break it. Isn't that right?" He said to me and asked Kirito.

"Yeah." Kirito replied to him.

"How do you know my name?" Kirito asked the customer. I couldn't help but blush when I looked into his eyes for a moment.

"The Black Swordsman. You're considered a hero nowadays." he said to him. He continued looking at my products as Kirito got smart with me.

As the customer checked a spear in the show case, he opened his inventory and saw that his current spear was way stronger. He noticed Lisbeth and Kirito having a small argument, nothing major. He checked his inventory to see if he had all his equipment for his next operation to get stronger and better. He couldn't help but overhear them talking about going to some mountains for the materials so Lisbeth could make the sword and demanded that Kirito would help her. The customer saw how she got red in anger and found it a little cute. He walked over to them, wanting to test something.

"I couldn't help but overhear about you two going to the mountains for some materials. It might be dangerous out there, mind if I tag along?" He asked as Lisbeth looked at the armor he was wearing which was a beginner's armor.

"No offense, but I don't think you're strong enough." Lisbeth said to him. He seemed unfazed as he kept a smile on his face.

"Yeah, if you increase your level a bit more then you could come with us another time maybe. No offense." He said as the (h/c) haired male kept his smile and nodded.

"No problem, I understand. Can I at least purchase that Dark steel dagger in the showcase over there?" he asked as Lisbeth nodded with a smile on he face. He payed her a good amount of money and walked out. As the male walked out the store, he opened his inventory while he walked.

"Of course they would think that way. Soon they will all see, especially her. Been going to that shop for weeks now and she doesn't even know my name, not even asked my name. I mean what the hell?!" he asked in confusion as he rocked his fist in the air. He scrolled through his inventory and selected "Reapers Assassin". Instantly a dark and (Fav color) aura surrounded the male. A black and (Fav color) hooded trench coat appeared on the male. It resembled a Grim reaper in a way since the hood has a effect of hiding half of his face with darkness. The armor was a combination of a assassin, reaper, and a ninja. The coat would go down to his knees with streaks of (Fav color) going down the sleeves while A steel and (Fav Color) vest would be protecting the torso front and back. He would wear black pants with silver steel pads and (Fav color) boots. He pulled on his hood which was outlined and streaked with (Fav color). He earned the armor after completing a quest called "Grim Reaper's Apprentice" to assist the Grim reaper in claiming evil souls of undead monsters. It was awarded to him by the Reaper as the sign "Quest Complete" appeared.

"Time to rise up in the ranks and prove myself. Soon the name of (Player Name or Real Name) will echo throughout the air. I'll prove myself to Lisbeth." (Name) said as he literally turned into a shadow and became one with Lisbeth's shadow as she and Kirito set off on their mission.

*later*

While Lisbeth and Kirito walked through the snowy mountains, (Name) separated himself from Lisbeth's shadow and stalked them through the snow and above. He had a limit to his abilities. He saw as Kirito gave her a coat to keep her warm.

"Look at him, being all kind to her. I could be way more romantic that guy." he fumed as he perched on a cliff above them. He dropped from the cliff and crouched down. He followed them as Lisbeth was amazed by the crystals. The more they talked, the more jealous (Name) would grow. He held nothing against Kirito, but he wanted him to ease off. Suddenly the dragon appeared and (Name) had to come out of hiding sometime. Kirito deflected a blast from the dragon while Lisbeth was amazed, thus pissing of (Name). He glared at the dragon. (Name) drew out his signature spear, The Spear of the Rogue. It was a black and purple spear with a long blade. The blade would always be surrounded with dark aura as the blade itself was purple. On the end of the spear was dark and feathered wings. Red eyes appeared on the blade, giving it a resemblance of a bird. He saw as Kirito fought with the dragon. (Name) threw his spear with might at the dragon, wounding it directly in the eye.

*Your Point of view*

I threw my spear directly into it's eye. Kirito turned to see me and he seemed shocked. I raised up my hand and let out a dark aura. My spear then pulled itself out of it's eye and flew back in my grasp. I jumped into action while Kirito gave me a glance , suddenly we were both working in sync. He sliced off it's arm while I sliced it's foot. The suddenly Lisbeth came out and the dragon saw he, It shot ice shards at her as I instantly jumped and swung around my spear, deflecting the attacks.

"Hey, get to cover." I told her as she refused.

"You two can handle that thing!" She said. The dragon blew her away while I went wide eyed. I saw as she was being blown into a pit. Kirito and I noticed and we both called out her name as we went after her. I perched myself on a crystal and leaped off of it. As she fell, I yelled out at her.

"LISBETH, CATCH!!" I yelled to her as I threw my spear at her and she did as I told her. The spear then floated in the air with her as she descended slowly and gently. I told Kirito to drive his sword into the wall to break his fall. I used a ability of my armor to turn into a shadow and descend slowly. We all had a safe landing, no health was lost. Kirito and Lisbeth checked on each other while I leaedt on the wall and called back for my spear. It disappeared into shadows, unlike most weapons in this game, my spear can be summoned instead of carrying it around all the time. I looked at Lisbeth as I started to walk over to her. Kirito stood in front of her with his sword out.

"Wait, who are you?" he said defensively while he guarded Lisbeth. Bastard.

"Just someone trying to get stronger. Trying to rise above the ranks to help in the font lines and be recognized and noticed. I was just passing by, then I saw that dragon and I wouldn't let you two die like that. In case you're wondering, I help people and try to be recognized for my actions, only to get overshadowed by the likes of you and those Knights of the Blood Oaths. I hold no grudges, only against those who look down at others like me like pest. No hostile intentions." I explained to them as he nodded while Lisbeth seemed impressed. I felt my cheeks heat up just by looking at that adorable face of hers. I raised up my head a bit as they saw half of my face covered by the dark aura that turned into half of a skull.

"Why is your face covered like that?" She asked.

"It's a side effect of the armor." I told her.

"Why is your level hidden?" She asked as kirito caught interest.

"Another side effect of the armor. Hides a lot of things." I explained.

"Can I have your name?" She asked me as I wanted to punch someone in the face.

"OH!! SO NOW THAT I'M SOME BAD ASS MYSTERIOUS SAVIOR, YOU WANT MY NAME ALL OF A SUDDEN??????" (Name) exploded as he blew back Lisbeth and Kirito. He then snapped back to reality from his 10 second day dream.

"Uh hello?" Lisbeth asked as I snapped back to reality.

"It's (Name), the Invisible Reaper." I introduced myself. I gave myself that name since I completed the reaper quest and since no one ever notices me. We talked and such as I explained my goals and reasons. After spending some time down here, in a way I did get closer to Lisbeth. We got the minerals and pent the night down here. I slept next to Lisbeth. She talked to Kirito and shared some words. Reflexes caught me as she asked to hold hands with him. He fell asleep surprisingly and turned the other way.

"I guess he's really tired." She said as she seemed understanding.

"Hey, you could hold my hand next if you want." I offered as she turned to me. She smiled and took the offer.

"Wow, your hand is really warm. Even in a virtual world. If possible, can you pull down your hood?" She said and asked me. I quickly fell asleep avoid answering. I caught a glance of her smiling as she held my hand. My cheeks were on fire. My stomach had butterflies all over the place. Why must she be so cute?"

*Next morning*

Everyone woke up. Lisbeth found the material and realized it was poop. (Name) laughed at this. The trio realized they were in a dragons nest and saw the dragon coming. Kirito hoisted Lisbeth over his shoulder, (Name) was pissed off. He took it out on the dragon as he drove his spear into it's back while Kirito stabbed his sword into it's back as well.

"ALRIGHT!! WE'RE GOING FOR A RIDE!!" (Name) said as he flew off and leaped off the dragon while Kirito and Lisbeth did the same. They were descending as (Name) overheard something that made his heart sank, shatter, explode, crumble, every thing in the book.

"KIRITO, I THINK I LOVE YOU!!" She yelled out loud, shattering (name). Kirito didn't hear her but she said it was nothing and hugged him.

*Time after*

(Name) disappeared from sight after his little adventure. He would hang around the are where her workshop was . He switched back to his standard armor. He walked in the shop, looked around as usual. He saw a girl with orange hair walk in, but he didn't really pay attention. He spent some time by the counter, waiting for Lisbeth. He decided to tell her who he really was and confess. He noticed Kirito and Asuna walking out, the way the talked, the way they were chatting together.....................................oh crap. Liz must be feeling like crap. (Name) ran outside to find her sitting down, heartbroken. She looked up and turned, not expecting to see one of her usual customers.

"What do you want?" She asked as he stared at her.

"To see a smile on that cute face of yours." he said thus making her blush quickly.

"I can't right now." She said.

"It's because you saw Kirito was meant for someone else. It hurts, I know what it's like. I thought it was going to happen with someone who I caught feels for." he said as he sat next to her.

"What's your name?" She asked as he seemed shocked and happy.

"(Name)." he said as she went wide eyed. he changed into his Reaper Armor and pulled his hood down.

"I never knew, I saw you walk in the store multiple times. I never asked for your name back then because I always forgot. I had no idea you were that strong, I misjudged you. Sorry about that." She said as (Name) smiled.

"Here I am thinking you were gonna end up with Kirito and me never being noticed." He said.

"Who was that person you said felt feels for?" She asked.

"You." he said bluntly as she went wide eyed and blushed.

"Uh-I..." She said before (Name) looked up.

"I really like you and I think you're really cute. So would you mind giving me a chance?" He asked as he suddenly felt soft lips on his. He was blushing as Lisbeth smiled.

"How did I not notice you any sooner? If I knew you were this kind, I would've noticed you way sooner." She asked as she rested her head on his shoulder. They developed a great relationship and (Name) soon found himself in the front lines after being recommended by Kirito. Lisbeth would go on picnics with (name) on days off while Asuna only smiled at them.
