Description Another butterfly shot... my last, I promise.

I'm pretty proud of this, I love how it turned out. Considering I was standing on my tiptoes with my camera above my head, praying that the focus and angle were right, I think it turned out excellently. Not to mention that it's neat how the butterfly's coloring matches the rust on the window ledge.

LOL! Thank you very much! Believe me, nobody was more proud than I that the shot actually did work - so this is very lovely to hear.

You make me laugh... may I keep you?

Oooo.... Spiffy.

One should make PS brushes out of these. What kind of butterfly is that? It's gorgeous.

Nice shot, too. Don't make this your last!

Well Miss Amanda, I looked it up for you.. lol and discovered that I can't exactly tell you what kind of butterfly it is. It's a longwing butterfly I think, but other than that I'm not sure - I had a bit of trouble identifying the markings. It might be a Postman butterfly, but don't quote me.

And if anyone feels the desire to make PS brushes... they are more than welcome to. ^^ I'd be delighted (since I'm rather helpless at making brushes myself.)

Thank you for the lovely comment!

Postman Butterfly? That's a possibility. If you don't mind me askin', where do you live? I know over in here in Colorado we have those damned Cabbage Moths that are so pretty, a Monarch or two in May and some sort of a Swallowtail. Not much in the way of adversity.

Though, there's a Butterfly Pavillion in Denver that's awesome. Mayhaps I should take a camera and make stock-photos out of 'em. 'Cuz well, I don't pretend to be a photographer. The art escapes me. >.>

Holy flork, batman! I live in Colorado too - lol and the Butterfly Pavilion is where I took this! It's my favorite place in the world (currently anyway). I'm actually out in Peyton... where it's dead about 80% of the year... so I don't see many butterflies or pretty moths. I get to see plenty of Miller moths, and the occasional pretty green giant moth whose name I just don't know.

Lol I'm no photographer either, but the Butterfly Pavilion lends itself to being very artsy. You should try, you never know what will come of it! ^^

Lmao. ^^ I'm out here in Lakewood.

A pale-green moth? Does it have like a Swallow-Tail? If so, that's pro'lly a Lunar Moth. They're beautiful, and big.

Yeah, the Pavillion is awful neat. I did take my sketchbook one time, but the butterflies wouldn't sit long enough so I was doodlin' some of those funky "Lady's Slipper" plants. I'ma drag this chica, ~praetorianrhapsody down to Ocean's journey to just draw. They've got a pretty neat display when it comes down to bein' a land-locked state. But my heart lies in Monterey Bay, California. My god, I could live in that Aquarium.

Well, fellow Denver-ite, one of these years we might meet should a DA meet ever be organized. ^^ Have fun!

Lazy girl... lol sorry I didn't reply earlier.

Lakewood huh? That's a bit of a drive from me - not by much, considering where you could be otherwise. A DA meet would be awesome... well should it ever be put together, I hope someone remembers little ol' me.

Hm, I don't think so... I seem to remember it being roughly the size of a small bird, or bigger, and being black, green or white, and little patches of red. I don't think it had a swallow tail... it is beautiful though, definitely one of the perks of summertime.

It's sad, I"ve never been to an aquarium... lol but I've always wanted to go to Ocean Journey. I'm a Pavilion girl myself, I could stay there for days on end - but the ability to stare at fish and various ocean life is something I'd never pass up.

Stay cool, Miss Amanda - I do so love stalking you. ^^

Dun worry, how could one forget 'bouts you? I promise, should things get organized, we'll include j00.

I need to get back there with my camera and sketchpad. I got a kick out of their li'l exhibit, too. The ocean thing. But yeah, Ocean Journey is absolutely amazing. First time I went I spent like 6 hours in there just oogling. Yes, we <3 Ocean Journey.

*Yawn* Me needs sleep, m'dear stalker. ^^ I'll be in touch as far as that DevMeet.

Thank you! I was quite surprised at how the colors turned out... at the time, I thought it was just a pretty butterfly. ^^

I always enjoy seeing your comments, Faizan, thank you.
