Description

An old, old doodle from circa 2014, from a fantasy kitchen sink kind of setting that would later evolve into "Siluria", my serials-filed-off, generic high fantasy world. This was an "SD style", "generic" example of the species (some sort of 'celestial' being, I didn't leave myself notes or even a name for it). But I can guess based on the colors and design.

"Twixt Angels": an androgynous species of angelic beings with mysterious, ominous powers. They dwell not with their celestial brethren in the heavenly planes, but in the space between worlds. Characterized by an abundance of fluffy, colorful feathers, monochromatic eyes and glowing magical runes, twixt angels, or "twixts", tend to resemble the earthly skies at hours from dusk to dawn. Some rarer features include star-like or sequin-like, glimmering freckles on their skin and feathering, an iridescent, aurora-like sheen on their primary feathers, or nebula-like spots and blotches dotting their feathering. Due to these marks, twixt angels have also been known as "space angels".

Their cosmic powers manipulate the fabric of space and time, allowing them to teleport around, travel at extreme speeds, or even move backward and forward through time. When they attack, they do so by crushing their foes into miniature black holes, which they then consume to replenish their own cosmic energy in lieu of consuming physical matter, lifeforce, or spiritual or elemental energy. They are also capable of learning magic from all earthly and celestial domains.

Made entirely with gel pens, no base sketch.

If you want to use the species, go for it! All I ask is that you leave a comment linking to your character's art, if you post something! I'd appreciate a link back to this, but that's actually not necessary.
