Image speaks for itself, I'm pretty sure it's roughly 9 years of pixelart now.That's actually roughly my first "sprite" there on the left.
[I made some pixelated stuff before that, but that's got lost over time, this is the oldest sprite I managed to salvage.]
Progress is always fun, isn't it? even on the simplest character designs.

Yes, lukasahl1.deviantart.com/ The person below me who said he wishes he was as good as you, but he's incredible! I love the all of the custom sprite sheets, and think he's absolutely amazing! I recently posted a side-by-side of my 2014 Shovel Knight and my 2015 Shovel Knight, hopefully if I work just as hard for a couple more years, I can grow to be, just maybe, as good as both of you!

I've only been spriting for about 4 or 5 years, so this makes me very optimistic for the future, seeing how good you are. I'm 20 as well, I should have started when I was 12 so I could make pixel art like you now haha.

Cool, looks like on "17 years" You start to know how Your hero should look. Too much like limbless Rayman, but finally it look very unique and original.

yes, and the overall shape of the chest, too. plus possibly the presence of some black scarf-like (or maybe a spiked necklace?) ... or something I read as such.

Yeah I did it together with another artist, I think he goes by "Jetryl" here on deviantart (he did a lot of the tiles/ground) I did most of the characters, houses etc.

Thank you! I've got some other characters that have a timeline, I should post those as well; but I like to use "Frogatto" because he's so simple, I think it's a lot more telling when you can see such a strong development on a fairly simple character and/or design.
