We have always had difficulty in confining religion. It breaks out time and time again, destroying everything it touches, then it is put away, only to break out again. You think we would have learned by now that politics and religion just does not mix.

I understand that while any number of embryos can be created, that's not the hard part, it is the bringing the embryo into full term pregnancy. An Alabama judge's ruling is stupid, ignores reality, ignores science, and is now threatening the very future of IVF.

Political violence has been a feature of elections in many, many nations, but not in the US, or rather, not a large issue in the US. There is always violence around election times, but this year, I suspect but hope it won't, it is going to get seriously bloody in the US. What's changed? Trump, that's what's changed. That is why he has to be excluded from the ballot, or in prison as a felon, or bankrupted by numerous judgments against him. I don't believe a bankrupt can stand for public office in the US, so if Trump goes under, then it is possible a bullet has been dodged. I really hope so.

Seems connecting science and religion is becoming a more difficult task day by day. First a numbnut who clearly has no idea of how to define "human" let alone women. Then to add to that, after the Alabama decision "protecting IVF" is a euphemism for the GOP to destroy it.

Tucker Carlson is everyone's image, well most people anyway, of an incredibly naive and hateful liar. Seems he is now adding stupid to that. An American friend of mine was absolutely stunned and vastly amused by his comments. He said that his ancestors didn't come over on the Mayflower, as he got his temper from his Scottish ancestors, his height from his Welsh ancestors but is mostly Viking. Seems his great-grandfather fought for the Union, whereas his great-grandfather's brother fought for the Confederacy. Can't get more American than that, he says. He too believes that Carlson is a traitor.

Seem Lauren Boebert can't keep out of the headlines, only now it's her son, stealing cars and making porn with an underage girl. Guess the fruit is not falling too far from this tree then.

The pick of the day has to be Eamonm Holmes. Poor Tay-tay, she will never know what she missed....
