Donald hasn't has a good week this week. A summary judgement against him in his NY Fraud trial may yet see him stripped of his business licenses in that State. Judge Engoron found he had substatially mislead financiers and investors in the values of his properties in the first count of the NY indictment. Trump appealed, which is NY is easy to do, but the 1st Department Appeals Court said, "Okay, we'll put a hold on the loss of licenses, but the rest of the trial is going ahead." In short, Trump can continue to operate his businesses in NY but won't stop his trial.

In a rather bizarre defense, Donald says that as President, he is obliged to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution" but he is not required to support it. My response to this would be, does "support" not include "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution". If so, then why would his defense then argue that the reverse is not also true? Quite bizarre actually.

No matter because the Colorado court ruled that the case to assess Trump's suitability under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment is to go ahead on October 30th.

There is little doubt that Trump has managed to undermine public confidence in elections, despite there being no real evidence to support his stolen election claims. His attention is now turned to the Courts and the judiciary. Apparently on Monday 10/16, Jack Smith will be asking U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan to impose a real gag on Trump's inflammatory and histrionic comments about the case. His attorneys have called Smith's efforts a "desperate attempt at censorship". Given Trump's comments can often be seen to be "vulgar and threatening" perhaps a gag order is essential.

All in all, not a great week for Donald.

But then he just gotta make it worse for himself:
