Description
I recently started a new file on one of my PMD games, and this is the team I wound up with. They kind of took on a life of their own in my head, and now I've come up with alternate histories for them. I have too much time on my hands.

Anyway, the Treecko is Heath, a cocky and egotistical human-turned-Pokemon who has a deep disdain for pretty much everyone. He is used to luxury and hates to get dirty. In his human life, he often mocked the use of Pokemon and considered them to be mostly useless and inferior. Upon seeing this, an ancient Dragonair cursed him by turning him into a Treecko. ("Heath" is a low, scrubby brush that grows in dry areas.)

The cranky Totodile is Tallulah. She comes from a fierce tribe of Croconaw and Feraligatr; the feathers and fangs around her neck mark her as a mid-ranking member of said tribe, as do the stripes painted on her tail. She is short-tempered and prone to biting, but her bravery and tenacity are unmatched even by most of her tribe. She is very self-conscious about her spines, which are much smaller than average. After stumbling upon Heath in the woods, she bullied him into making a Rescue Team. ("Tallulah" is a Choctaw word meaning "leaping waters.")

Together, Heath and Tallulah are the leaders of Team Kai. In various languages, "kai" means strong, unbreakable, pier, victory, ocean, food, willow tree, keeper of the keys, earth, and love.

The two argue more often than not, and Tallulah has little patience for Heath's high-maintenance personality. They make a powerful team as long as they can stop fighting with each other long enough to battle their enemies instead.
