I recently chatted with a fellow Roleplayer and we talked about the 'good old day' of 2nd edition AD&D.

Those where the days when a low Armorclass was the best that could happen to you, the kind of weapon you used had an affect on your initiative and very few people multi-classed...

That made me remember my very first RP-Character ever: Lissan a half-elven ranger who started out wielding a Kopesh (before she found a more traditional - and more magical- sword) and whose most valued possesion were her boots of spiderclimbing.
I miss those days when it took a ranger to show people what two-handed weapon fighting was like...

Now-a-days every fighter with more feats than intelligent points can do it... Sad.
