when using sai you can get the option to save the background as transparent, so the pixels are invisible. i didn't choose the color of the background, there just is no background

when you save an image as a png in sai you can choose the option. the first option is with no transparency, the second option is "32bpp ARGB (each pixel have opacity)" and that will make any part of the image not colored in transparent
